As you know, part of this course’s objective is to introduce you to the concept of transformative leadership, a leadership style which includes qualities that are critical in the professional arena, but before we delve in to this approach of leadership, I’d like you to think about your perspective on leadership.
In about 200 words or more, explain what you think it means to be a leader. Then talk about what leadership looks like in the workplace. Some think of individuals in leadership roles as CEOs, owners, managers, etc. when they think of leaders, but this is not necessarily the case.
Employees that move forward an initiative are leaders. Students that lead a student organization are leaders. Students that lead a group project are leaders. Teachers, parents, siblings, activist, etc… are also considered leaders. The list is endless.
To help you respond to this assignment, I have provided several questions and topics to get you thinking about your response:
