Adaptive challenges can be solved through changes in people’s beliefs, habits and behaviors. Most problems are a mix of technical and adaptive challenges. Adaptive leadership strives to develop environments that allow employees to succeed. Adaptive changes build on the past, experiment with possibilities, rely on diverse innovation that is iterative, which takes time. People don’t resist change, they resist loss.
