Step One
Using your social problem, describe how the people affected are influenced by others who are in their groups. IMPORTANT: Go to ProQuest and look up peer reviewed, full text sources that further develop the influences the people experiencing the social problem must manage on a day to day basis
Step Two
Describe group influences on this group both formally and informally. What formal group pressures perpetuate this problem? What informal group pressures make this problem challenging to resolve?

Define social class. How is social class different for the other systems of stratification such as slavery and caste? (b)There are three sociological perspectives on stratification. Structural Functionalism, Conflict Theory (Marx and Engels); and Max Weber’s three-part theory that looked at power differentials in relationships. Briefly summarize each of these theories. Then, indicate which of these theories comes closest to your own view of why poverty persists.
