Reflections on Audre Lorde’s “The Transformation of Silence into Language and Action”

 

Lorde, A. (1977). The transformation of silence into language and action. Identity politics in the women’s movement.
Read the short piece by Audre Lorde and write a reflection piece answering at least three of the following questions (2-3 pages). As you answer, please be sure to reference pieces of the reading that have influenced your thought process in answering these questions.

*What are successful examples of people honoring each other’s humanity that you’ve seen in the real world around you? Ex: our communities, our work spaces, in school, etc
*What power does honoring our humanity hold?
