Project Evaluation

Project evaluation is imperative to the success of any project. It allows analysts to monitor progress and test changes. This is a crucial opportunity to maximize project success and enhance future initiatives.

The city of Kelsey has posted a notice of public meeting and a variety of memos describing the proposed Stanley Park Project. As the program analyst for the city of Kelsey, you must evaluate the predicted value of the project to the community. You must present your evaluation to the city council.

Write a paper in which you complete the following:
o Determine what information might be important for the city to collect in order to evaluate the predicted value of the Stanley Park Project to the community.
o Explain the value of the information needed for the evaluation of the program.
o Describe the use of normative futures in goals and agenda setting for the Stanley Park Project.
o Explain how this information may be used in setting project goals and objectives.
o Develop program performance measures based on program goals and objectives.

It is also important that the team who is developing and implementing the project has a unified vision of how they intend to define “success” and that this measure is placed against outcomes before the team disbands and moves on.

Project evaluation

 

Develop a scenario where you are a project manager and have the option of accepting 3 different projects. Utilize an unweighted factor scoring model to analyze which project you should accept. Develop between 5-7 items to be evaluated for each of the projects. In a paper of 3-5 pages, discuss each project, and provide a basic background for each; then, present a chart detailing the relevant factors to be analyzed using the unweighted factor scoring model. Finally, discuss which project was chosen based on the quantitative and qualitative data provided and explain why.
