You have decided to create a consulting business to address increasing market needs for sustainability and innovation in the community. You want to
emphasize how businesses can make incremental changes in the workplace to achieve sustainable results that increase profitability and brand reputation. The mission of the company is to “facilitate sustainable social, economic, and environmental development opportunities for the good of businesses in the community.” The company should be designed as a mission-driven, for-profit organization that will create partnerships that result in sustainable changes for the community. You would like your business to be successful so that your consulting firm can raise your city’s ranking in the “Most Sustainable and Innovative Communities” list from the top 20% of all U.S. communities to the top 10%.
Before you design a business venture plan that includes its organizational design, you will identify how the business will generate revenue. You will assess the sustainability and innovation needs for 30 businesses in the local community in the first year. You will then share the results of those assessments with all business stakeholders to generate feedback that will be used to develop and implement proposals for consulting. You would also like to hire three university students as part-time interns to help you develop an organizational structure. You are interested in seeking investors in the business community who would like to take a leadership role in the business and its decision-making.

We learned about organizational structure, and trends in organizations dealing with corporate ethics and corporate social responsibly. After reading Chapter 5 work on your Unit 3 Complete assignment, by writing a narrative essay (minimum 1500 words) in which you address and discuss the questions and statements listed below. Use at least four scholarly sources and remember to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the READ and ATTEND sections in your essay. Cite your sources in APA format. You may use your current or former employer in relating to this assignment.

· What is and should be the relationship between an organization’s mission and its strategy?

· What are the key advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing and offshoring, and should these practices be regulated? Explain why or why not!

· Why do stakeholders in the same organization often have different goals? Would it not be best if they shared the same goals? Explain your findings!

· Research a recent example of a company’s ethical violation in the news and briefly describe what you believe went wrong by covering the who, what when and were of the incident.

 

Organizational Structure

 

Organizational structure can have a major impact on the delivery of safe patient care and the overall satisfaction of nursing staff.

Analyze the organizational structure of your health care facility and the nursing division/service from the perspective of the business of delivering quality patient care and assuring staff satisfaction. Discuss how the organizational structure either supports or does not support nursing leadership and management and how that can affect quality safe patient care and nursing staff.
