Scenario
You oversee the onboarding of new employees to your company. As part of the onboarding process, new employees must complete a course on ethics in team psychology. You are to provide information on ethical considerations and a scenario demonstrating an understanding of the impact of ethics at each of the five levels of ethical culture.
Instructions
Provide a training document that includes the following:
Differentiate between corporate/organization and team ethical culture.
Explain the ethical considerations associated with in-person and virtual employees.
Describe the five levels of ethical culture (individual, interpersonal, group, intergroup, and inter-organizational).
Provide a scenario demonstrating the impact of ethics at each of the five levels.
There are five levels to consider when looking at ethics in the workplace.
1 The first level focuses on the individual/employee.
2 The second looks at the interpersonal level, meaning the relationships across the organization’s hierarchy.
3 The third level focuses on Group dynamics.
4 The fourth level is intergroup dynamics, which looks at possible rivalry between teams.
5 The fifth level is the Inter-organizational level, which looks at the organization and its relationships with the external environment (i.e., shareholders).
