Based on the Six-Images Framework, this paper will focus on demonstrating an understanding
of the six images, how those images approach change management, assessing your personal
image(s), and then discussing how you, using the image or images, would have addressed the
transition at Sears (Chapter 1). Begin this assignment by reviewing the text regarding the
framework and then take the self-assessment to determine your dominant image(s). As you
reflect on the framework, your personal image(s), and how change was approached by Eddie
Lampert at Sears, respond to the following prompts:
 What are the six change management images and how would you define them?
 How would you describe their corresponding approaches to change management?
 Detail the results of your assessment, including your top image or images, if those images
require actions that would make you uncomfortable, and whether you feel you could
navigate between strong and weak images based on the situational context.
 What is your assessment of the image(s) of Eddie Lampert in this scenario?
 Using your dominant image or images, how would you have approached the change
management efforts by Eddie Lampert at Sears?

Select 3 components from Domain 6 and 10 (for example, 6.1a, b, and c AND 10.2a, b, and c).
Identify and discuss how to apply those chosen components from Domain 6 to the practice environment to provide effective interprofessional communication for optimal patient outcomes.
Identify and discuss how development of those components from Domain 10, applied to the practice environment support the acquisition of nursing expertise and the assertion of leadership.
Your initial posting should be at least 400 words in length and utilize at least one scholarly source other than the textbook.

Leadership, Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Decision-Making

In this course, we are going to flip the discussion forums. Instead of responding to a discussion question posed to you by the instructor, you will pose the discussion questions to your fellow students. In this way, you get to show your understanding of the concepts while also pushing the conversation forward by asking how we can use this knowledge in new ways. It may feel like a stretch, and if so, that is a good thing! You enrolled in this program (hopefully) to be stretched! As leaders, we cannot just be consumers of knowledge. We must also be able to take that knowledge, question it, determine how to apply it, and push for new answers to new questions.
Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:
• Formulate questions that promote critical thinking in others related to technology, artificial intelligence, and decision-making.

Background Information
One of the technologies that will continue to influence organizations in the future is artificial intelligence. As a leader, you need to learn when to look to artificial intelligence for help in decision making, and when you can make the decision better on your own. You need to wrestle with the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence. Think back to LDR-305, your Ethics and Decision-Making for Leaders course. Try to use the foundational ethical and decision-making tools you gained in that course as you assess how to make decisions regarding data, artificial intelligence, etc. in this course.

Create an approximately 5-minute presentation to staff and leadership on your planned response to emerging human resources issues.

Introduction
The assessments in this course build upon one another and must be completed in the order presented.

In the previous assessment, you planned, organized, and led. But what does it take to control your operation? What skills are necessary? What needs to be measured? Are there tools or processes designed to help? What types of things do you need to control, and what do you need to let go of?

Scenario
Imagine that you have received the following e-mail from your boss about a month after they adopted your departmental plan outlined in the previous assessment.

HR E-mail [PDF]: Use this e-mail from your boss as the basis for this assessment.
Instructions
Create an approximately 5-minute presentation with voice narration targeted to your staff and leadership that effectively responds to your boss’s request found in the e-mail. Your presentation should demonstrate leadership qualities such as composure, preparation, solid communication, thoughtfulness, et cetera. The presentation should also:

Articulate the problems and their sources. (Make sure to include plausible assumptions based upon the facts presented to support your assertions.)
Detail your plan, which must address:
Retention: Describe two of the most significant steps you will take to keep employees and why you believe they will be effective.
Compensation.
Benefits.
Culture, leadership, engagement.
Hiring: Select one of the positions you identified in your organizational chart as new hire. Suggest two actions that you will take to secure new hires. Substantiate your ideas with real market data for at least one of your actions. (Cite your sources.) State any assumptions that you need to make to conduct your research. For example, candidate experience, job level, industry norms, et cetera.
Training.
Onboarding or orientation.
Communicating organizational values and culture.
Performance measure and standards: Describe how performance will be measured for one of the position types in your group. Your expectations should be consistent with your stated departmental goals.
Note: You have the option of using Kaltura or PowerPoint to complete your presentation.
