This paper is third WI designated assignment and builds on the previous paper. Based on the feedback from the OB Project – Part 1 you will now produce
another essay, that is a 2-3 page written report (excluding title page, references and any figures, tables or appendices). Each paper will include an APA
formatted title page and a separate References page. Do not include an abstract, table of contents, or appendixes. The primary topics included in this paper
are as follows: Providing a brief overview of the problem (3-4 sentences), the following:
Theoretical Lens – The topic:Leadership Theories , apply that topic to the your chosen organization and the problem developed in OB Project- Part
Review the Resources and examine the leadership theories and behaviors introduced.
Identify two to three scholarly resources, in addition to this Module’s readings, that evaluate the impact of leadership behaviors in creating healthy work environments.
Reflect on the leadership behaviors presented in the three resources that you selected for review.
Post two key insights you had from the scholarly resources you selected. Describe a leader whom you have seen use such behaviors and skills, or a situation where you have seen these behaviors and skills used in practice. Be specific and provide examples. Then, explain to what extent these skills were effective and how their practice impacted the workplace.
Select a coach or a leader within your current organization or a group you belong to. Set aside 30-60 minutes to conduct the interview. Using the following questions as your guide, interview your selected participant. Feel free to add additional questions based upon your understanding of this week’s Team Leadership concepts.
· How does he or she define leadership?
· What is his/her mental model of the coaching situation?
· What types of decisions does he or she need to make?
· When does he or she intervene in a situation?
· How does he or she diagnose athlete or team deficiencies?
· Head off future problems?
· Balance task and relational concerns?

· How closely does this leader’s behavior fit the components of Hill’s Team Leadership Model?
· Are any elements missing?
· Would adding those elements make the coach more effective?
· How useful is the Team Leadership Model for coaching?

1.Please select one (1) leadership theory, and describe why it is particularly suited for healthcare organizational and especially nursing. Be very specific.
2.Then, describe which aspects make it particularly suited for nursing today while it is in such turmoil and the issues have become so critical to the profession of nursing.
3.Also either based on reality or theoretically, why does this leadership model appear to have the most important explanation and description for a leader in such a role today?

Apply Leadership in Theory and Practice to a leadership initiative/endeavor within thecandidate’s home institution or in an educational setting. For example, if you have started a new initiative, or had to make a change within your organization, then how did your leader (or you) address that within the organization. Are there examples of traits, skills, behaviors, servant leadership, situational leadership, transformational leadership, etc. that were utilized or observed during that experience? Simply make connections and apply the appropriate leadership theories covered in the course to the leadership initiative within your own organization.
Report on the outcomes of that initiative based upon your observations, interviews, and first hand involvement;
Include an overall reflection on candidate’s own leadership style in relation to the results from the numerous surveys such as: Leadership Trait Questionnaire, Skills Inventory, Blake & Mouton Leadership Inventory, the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) Form 5X-Short, and/or the Ethical Leadership Style Questionnaire (Short Form), etc.
Lastly, address topics associated with leadership such as motivation, ethics, and the concept of authority. (Can be embedded or addressed separately.)
