Entrepreneurship

1- Your textbook defines the external environment as the forces, institutions and people outside the boundary of the firm. The external environment is further
divided into the general and task environment. Identify one or more sectors in the task environment which helps to create opportunities for entrepreneurs in
the United States. Support your choice with a specific example.
2- In this unit, the DQ and the assignment are closely linked. The readings and slides for Unit 2 should have enabled you to identify an idea for a new small
business venture.
Share your business idea with your classmates and discuss 2 to 3 factors that led to making your choice.
Review the postings of at least three of your classmates and give them feedback regarding the feasibility and desirability of their business idea.
The feasibility study consists of five major sections:
Descriiption of the Business;
Product or Service (benefits, limitations, legal restrictions, insurance needs, trends, and production/delivery costs);
Industry and Market (Current industry, market potential, competition, customers, and market penetration);
Financial Requirements (Pricing, sales revenue, cost forecast, gross profit, operating expenses, and profitability);
Future Action Plan (Sources of start-up capital, further information needed, writing the business plan, and support needed). Support your opinion by citing
specific criteria that are listed on the Feasibility Study Outline.
You will be receiving valuable feedback from your classmates, so make sure you choose an idea which you intend to develop into a business plan.

This method will assess the new grading system as soon as the project is put into practice in the restaurant. • Identify and prepare the information to convince your boss that your project makes sense, and it is necessary to put into practice. You need to be convincing. • Create a project team: tell how you are going to create your team and how you will coordinate it. • Build up a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with all the tasks and their duration, resources needed and predecessors. • Establish a Project Timing and determine how long will be the project. • Assess on the risks of failure and use the FMEA methodology for their evaluation. • Determine a Balance Scorecard, including the most representative indicators and metrics to evaluate the progress of implementation. • Explain how important is the implementation of a Quality Management System to improve the efficiency of this business.

Entrepreneurship: Best business Ideas

Essay 2 Instructions: Entrepreneurship
To start a business, an entrepreneur would write a plan which describes/explains:
• the product ( service or good)
• the targeted customer ( the WRITE EXPERIENCE instructions mentioned this)
• a rationale as to why the target customer would buy the product ( benefits)
• cost to the customer
• initial start up costs of the business
• marketing to attract customers
• facilities/space and equipment requirements, and or production of goods
• how the business will be funded; (initial start up costs and continuing operations)

Your Targeted Business Idea Plans:
You want to start a business and perceive an opportunity in serving a rapidly growing segment of the US population over 50. The service you create must appeal to aging baby boomers 50 years old or older who are still at work (not yet retired) in professional or high level corporate careers. They work an average of 60 to 80 hours per week and make a minimum $100,000 per year. They like to look good, be social, and stay healthy. Time is a big issue for them. The rules of your business idea are as follows: any idea is acceptable at this stage; nothing should be ruled out as silly, impractical, or even antisocial; also, improvements on existing services can be considered.
Describe in detail your best business idea for this customer set. Follow the above (8 point) business plan details and provide answers to each point of the plan. Be sure to consider your chapter readings as well as additional outside information sources.
