Economic indicators

Identify all relevant concepts, terms and discuss positions against and as well as in favor. In the article attached, they talk about the following Economic indicators: GDP, Unemployment, and Inflation. If you had to select just one indicator to measure the success or health of a country’s economy, what indicator would you select and why? You will need to explain the advantages and limitations of the indicator you selected and contrast it with at least two other economic indicators.

Economic indicators

Select two economic indicators (i.e. unemployment, CIP, treasury curve, housing etc.) of their own choice. Using the scientific approach (form a hypothesis, test the information stated in the hypothesis, accept, reject, or modify the hypothesis), test the information; come to some conclusion on the hypothesis. The purpose is to prepare a three-page, typewritten, double-spaced informational paper presenting the hypothesis, supporting information and the conclusion. The paper will include economic words, definitions, and theories. The reports must contain at least TWO (2) charts or graphs, supporting the student’s hypothesis.

America’s economy vs. Venezuela’s economy

In making your comparison, start with a brief survey of major economic indicators for the two nations. Then, discuss a few macroeconomics policies that each of the nations have pursued in recent years and what outcomes have resulted from them. Finally, suggest a few policy initiatives which Venezuela might undertake to improve its economic condition, and describe what outcomes would be expected if your policy suggestions were implemented. A few sources of information you might consider for Venezuela are the World Bank, the CIA Factbook, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Heritage Foundation; the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Census Bureau and Federal Reserve have all kinds of information on the US. The brief paper must be three or four pages of 12 to 14 point font typed. Put any graphs and tables you might like to include at the end of the paper and they do not count toward the page count
