Domestic violence is a difficult and uncomfortable topic that evokes deep emotions. In this assignment, you will summarize and discuss interpersonal
communication within the framework of a case study on domestic violence.

Submit a 1- to 2-page paper in which you summarize the case study and respond to the following questions:
Discuss the emotions of Susan, Ulner, and Lynne. How could these emotions be better expressed?
What perceived rewards might have caused Susan to remain in the relationship?
How might Susan’s perception of costs and rewards regarding the relationship have changed across time?

After reading this chapter, you should have once again obtained a new perspective on IPV. Now, think about some circumstances or incidents in which you can now recognize were signs of violence. What were they? Did you suspect at the time? Or are you only now putting the pieces together?

Using appropriate resources, prepare a statement as to why you chose the particular population/issue and why this warrants special attention/assistance. Give details, background, and what has been done thus far to address the topic.

Develop additional strategies or expand upon already existing services that could support this topic, such as agencies, governmental laws, etc.

Lastly, identify organizations that are in existence, what they do and how someone can get involved.

Scenario #1: Assume the role of a consultant, providing information to a Board. The
Board of Directors for a local, urban, not-for-profit food bank is looking to determine if
they should add perishable food rescue services, as there are a number of large
companies in the area that have large kitchens and significant excess food. You have
been asked to provide information about the potential benefits of food rescue to help the
Board make the decision.
Scenario #2: Assume a leadership position, providing information to staff. You are the
