Critical Thinking

This is a learning activity from ATI with your ability to critically think through a patient situation (so more depth than generalization). You are challenging your ability to critically think using the process of:

(1) interpretation (2) analysis (3) inference (4) Explanation (5) Evaluation and (6) Self-Regulation

Complete the attached worksheet for ATI scenario for M.P. who is a 78 year old African American patient recently diagnosed with Hypertension as you apply te process of critical thinking in detail about the scenario.

Critical thinking, and information literacy.

(2) Develop and apply strategies for critical reading, critical thinking, and information literacy.
(4) Analyze and synthesize researched information to develop and support original claims.
(7) Employ correct techniques of style, formatting, and documentation when incorporating quotes, paraphrases, and summaries from sources into compositions.
Task:

Critical thinking

Select at least one of the following and use the Internet to provide a current event or another real-world example of the concept. (Minimum 350 words).

Find evidence of formal and informal social control in your life. You should include times where others were attempting to control your deviant behavior, and times when you were attempting to control the deviance of others.
Select a theoretical perspective on deviance and apply it to your own life, the life of your children, or another person you know well. Be sure to refer to the theoretical perspectives provided by Chapter 7 in your text.
Do you have experience with something being non-deviant one day and deviant the next due to changing definitions and constructions of what it means to be ‘deviant’ in that context? For example, “One day I could chew gum in class, the next day it was a ‘new rule’ and I received a detention.” Find real-life evidence of socially constructed definitions of deviance that changed over time. You may use your own life or societal level examples.

A decision tree is a schematic representation of the alternatives available to a decision maker and their possible consequences (Stevenson, 2021).
Dream Games is an organization dedicated to the creation of innovative video games and consoles. The CEO of the organization needs to determine if, for this year, they will produce and sell the same console they have been selling for the past 5 years, or if they will produce and sell a new console which is more energy efficient, faster, and the graphics are higher quality. The expected projected budget for the production department will be SAR 70,000,000. There is always the possibility of asking the organization to increase the budget, but it will have to be very well crafted, so it has the possibility of being approved. The CEO has been presented with the following numbers in relation to the two consoles:

Product Investment Production Price Customer Price Projected Sales
Old Console 66,660.000.00 SAR 133.32 SAR 399.96 875,000
New Console 99,990,000.00 SAR 199.98 SAR 599.94 1,100,000

After evaluating the data above and the gaming industry, do the following:

• Develop a decision tree for Dream Games in relation to the current and new console production (include the decision tree in an appendix showing chance nodes, probabilities, outcomes, expected values, and net expected value).
• Explain the process you used to develop your decision tree.
• Using your decision tree, which product should Dream Game select for this year? Why?
• Explain your reasoning for your recommendations to Dream Games in relation to the product they should produce and sell in the coming year.

Directions:
• Your assignment is required to be four to five pages in length, which does not include the title page and reference pages, which are never a part of the content minimum requirements.
• Support your submission with course material concepts, principles, and theories from the textbook and at least four scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles (without the text book) Formatted according to APA 7th edition and Saudi Electronic University writing standards.
• It is strongly encouraged that you submit all assignments into Turnitin prior to submitting them to your instructor for grading. If you are unsure how to submit an assignment into the Originality Check tool, review the Turnitin – Student Guide for step-by-step instructions.
Review the grading rubric to see how you will be graded for this assignment.

• Use assay form (introduction which has a thesis, body and conclusion)
• Use headings

There are numerous tools/techniques that allow hackers to gather a considerable amount of information about a target.
Write a short paper on footprinting by answering all the following:
• What is the objective of footprinting?
• What are some various footprinting tools/techniques?
• What type of information can these footprinting tools/techniques provide?
• How can organizations defend against footprinting and reconnaissance activities?

The “Monday Musings” court group meets each Monday at the Rutgers Moot Trial Court.

The participants fluctuate from week to week, but Daniel, William, Phyllis, Sharon, and you comprise the nucleus of the group. Each week one of

the group takes the lead in the discussion, presenting the fruits of their study and leading the ensuing discussion. This week, Daniel is leading the discussion on rape law. Daniel, warming to the passage, makes his pitch that rape law is a waste of time, just send the

offenders to a penal colony as per this article: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10375133/Repeat-child-rapists-sent-penal-colonies-ARCTIC-life-proposals-Russia.html

Phyllis highlights that the question of the week was: “There have been significant changes in rape law involving issues such as

corroboration and shield laws. What other measures would you take to protect victims of rape when they have to testify in court?”

Thus, Daniel didn’t answer the question. Daniel replied, the victim’s voice would be heard by sending the offender to a penal colony. Sharon replied, the victim needs to be heard in court. The conversation turns to you, how would you respond? Be sure to include a theoretical framework.
