Case Analysis

Partnership Cultivation: In this section, you will shift your focus from the organizational level of the case study and instead focus on the team that has been put together to address the need. Specifically, you should address the following:

A. Structure: Describe the membership and structure of the external partnerships that have been put together to address the identified need. In other words, who are the key players or stakeholders involved?

B. Conflicts: What kind of conflicts and communication issues have developed in building external relationships into teams? For instance, are there any problems with leadership or group dynamics?

C. Impact of Conflicts: How will these conflicts and communication issues impact the organization’s ability to address the identified need if they are not addressed? In other words, what challenges does the organization face based on these conflicts and communication issues?

Write a 4-5 page report that analyzes a workplace incident; develop a general discrimination policy, and modify existing communication, training, and reporting procedures to ensure a legally compliant workplace.

Introduction
The harsh reality of today’s work environment is that organizations are dealing with a variety of issues that require strong policies. In the scenario for this assessment, you will get to explore one of these situations and recommend changes to existing policies to deal with issues like this one.

Some assessments in this course are based on the CapraTek Workplace Discrimination simulation (see the second resource activity in Assessment 3 for more information). The assessments build on each other and must be completed in sequence.

Introduction
Because of the glowing review you received about the job aid you developed, your boss has charged you with assessing a workplace incident involving several CapraTek policies.

Instructions
Based on the CapraTek: Workplace Discrimination incident, restructure CapraTek’s HRMM policies and procedures to better protect the organization and its employees.

Address the following elements in your 4–5 page report:

Analyze how the policies and mission are communicated at CapraTek (Employee handbook, meetings, training, medium, location, format, et cetera).
Analyze the content within CapraTek’s training events and artifacts.
Evaluate CapraTek’s reporting and investigation procedures in relation to how they protect both the company and employees.
Analyze how effective your HR management plan job aid would have been if applied to CapraTek. (Identify how you would gauge the effectiveness of the Community Hospital job aid, if it were applied to this CapraTek incident.)
Modify CapraTek’s HR management plan, where needed, to better protect the organization and its employees.
Review the HRM Case Analysis Scoring Guide to ensure that you have completely addressed the grading criteria of this assessment before submitting it for a grade.

C‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍ase Analysis: Four cases which happen to be current events. Please read each case and respond to the following questions for each in complete detail. Support your answers from the course materials. 1. What were the key specifics of the incident? 2. What was the action taken by the company? 3. Do you agree with the companies actions why or why not? 4. What policies and/or practices would you put in place if you were the companies Vice president of HR to better communicate expected behavior and personal responsibility and morals clauses to all employment documents/contracts? How would you address employee concerns with respect to unfair labor practices? What can HR do to change the organizations culture and make employees feel more respected and appreciated? 5. Using one of the surveillance system cited in the readings, explain how you might incorporate the surveillance
data into a particular public health program. In your assignment, be sure to include the following critical
elements:
Identify the type of surveillance (active or passive).
Justify your answer; how do you know? Distinguish between each type of surveillance in your answer.
Describe the information the system tells you about the pathogen.
Examine how this information informs public health policies and programs.

Case Analysis

Select one of the case studies from the Johnson text. Pick one that inspires you to show thoughtful analysis.
Write a 5-7 page analysis of the case by answering the discussion probes associated with the case. On your
title page include the case number, case title, and text page number of the case. Begin your paper by telling
why you picked that particular case over the others in the text. Include each discussion probe or case ending
question as a heading. You may use first person voice in your assignments in this course. Add a reference to
your case in the textbook. Example: Johnson, C.E. (2021). Case study 1.1, pp. 23-25, in Meeting the ethical
challenges of leadership: Casting light or shadow (7th ed.). Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage. (You might have
noticed that our author uses APA style in this text.)
