Read the following article, paying close attention to the study design.

Give a brief explanation of the topic of the article. What were the researchers’ aims in conducting the study? Summary of the main findings? Analyze the study design, including the strengths and weaknesses. What alternative design would you recommend under the same situation and why? Defend your answer.

Identify a scholarly, peer-reviewed article that addresses the use of the instrument.
Discuss if the instrument is appropriate for diagnosing the condition it is designed to assess or if the developers
of the instrument reported that the instrument is only part of a comprehensive assessment for the disorder.
Describe whether or not the instrument can be used to measure patient response to therapy/treatment.
Discuss the psychometrics/scoring of the instrument, including reliability and validity.
Discuss any limitations associated with the use of the instrument

Identify the therapy modality by name.
Identify the originator (creator) of specific modality.
Identify a specific diagnosis or population this modality is especially helpful with.
Note specific focus, emphasis, and/or goals of this modality.

Description

Select an article from one of the following popular business periodicals; Business Week, The Havard Business Review, or Fortune, which focuses on some aspect of management. Then write a one page (single spaced) paper containing an executive summary of the article content (somewhat less than 1/2 page) and the application of textbook concepts to the subject (somewhat more than 1/2 page). Since the intent of this assignment is to illustrate management concepts in real world practice, the application of concepts will be weighted more than the summary of content. This is intended to be an objective illustration of concepts applied to practice, not a critique.

Find a current (within the past 10 days) news article in some popular media (newspaper, magazine, etc). The topic of the news article should be physics related, but does not need to be physics that we have already discussed. After reading the article, address the following in your submission.

Give a brief summary of the article
Provide an analysis of the article. This could include discussion of the authors purpose for writing the article, what you learned from reading the article (or what readers were supposed to learn) or questions that emerge as you think about this article. If there are sections of the article that you don’t understand, state specifically what you don’t understand and why that section is confusing. The goal here is to demonstrate thinking.
