Using the kc_house data set, which describes the housing market of King’s County in the state of Washington, use a univariate model to work through the Business Research Process using the attached outline document to construct your response. Under sections where this methodology does not provide an appropriate response (such as 5c), state as much.
The King’s County housing dataset could be used for a variety of research questions. You could be a buyer, seller, real estate professional, tax professional, county official, economist, market analyst, banker, mortgage lender, etc… Pick a topic of interest and use it to build out the research question and the succeeding questions using the Assignment Outline provided. Take some liberty with your ideas and build it out knowing what the collected dataset looks like. The second half of the research process, particularly the Data Processing and Analysis portion, should be constructed using the dataset provided following your declared research question and research objectives. Use some creativity but follow your research objective to the end of the assignment once it is selected. Practice using
both Tableau and Excel to build out your graphs/tables/vizualizations.
In order for the univariate example to work, we must select a house to compare against the population. In a separate tab in the excel file, I have constructed a sample from the population for you to use to test your hypothesis. Consider this sample as your sample of interest.
