You are the Health Information Management Director in a rural, critical access hospital. You have created a team that is designing the master patient index (MPI). As the HIM Director it is your responsibility to see this project through, but not everyone on the team is exactly sure what an MPI is or how it works. You’ve been asked to create a presentation to explain what an MPI is and what elements are required for the MPI. You will present this presentation to the MPI team and the Board of Directors.
Deliverables:
You will submit a PowerPoint Presentation that explains what an MPI is, what elements make up an MPI, and the benefits of implementing an MPI.
A title slide and references slide are required and are in addition to the content slides.
PowerPoint will be a minimum of 8 content slides.
Include a table in the PowerPoint that includes all of the elements of an MPI that must be includedInclude Audio – You may use PowerPoint Audio or create a video using Kaltura with your PowerPoint.
