Based on a local school board meeting (see below), write a 3-5 page paper, which
addresses the following:
- Provide a brief description of the setting for the meeting. What time was the
meeting held? Where was the meeting held? Provide a brief description of
the room and the layout (if the meeting is held virtually, please note that and
give a description of the forum). - Why was the meeting taking place? Was this a regularly scheduled meeting
or a special meeting? What notable items were on the agenda? - Who was in attendance at this meeting? Be sure to note leaders and
participants. - How was the meeting conducted?
- Given what you have learned about educational institution/ program and
community relations, analyze the meeting as to its effectiveness in:
○ Serving the purpose for which it was being held.
○ Facilitating communication between and among stakeholders.
○ Encouraging or improving community relations.
○ Positive impact on institution/ program image.
○ Any potential impact on student learning
