2. Describe a fairly recent system-wide practice initiative that has been carried out by your chosen organization. Try to find one that relates to your DNP Project. This will require research on your part, and the sources utilized should be journal articles. Example: the VA health system implemented medication bar coding to prevent errors in 1995, and has evaluated and updated their system over time with numerous system-wide initiatives (you can’t use this one).
• Discuss an area of the practice change initiative that did not proceed as planned, or an issue that evolved during implementation
• Describe the company’s efforts to work around that issue
• Discuss one alternative strategy that the organization might have used (but didn’t) to prevent the issue and improve the implementation process
