Course name: History of Science Essay Question: For much of the history of Western thought the ‘book of revelation’ (the Bible) and the ‘book of nature’ have both been considered sources of true knowledge about the natural world. Explain how philosophers and scientists have attempted to resolve apparent contradictions between them over the centuries. -No longer than 2,000 words -Do consult key texts listed in the course handbook. You may read beyond the texts provided for the course, but you do not necessarily need to.
