Each student will write a letter to the editor responding to, and arguing against, the positions taken in his or her Op-Ed piece. Your letters should be 400-600 words, and must include at least 2 citations.
For a good piece on why letters to the editors are effective advocacy tools, see, Daphne Marvel, Letters to the editor: A useful advocacy tool in today’s media environment? BMSG Blog, posted September 12, 2017. https://www.bmsg.org/blog/letters-editor-media-advocacy-tool-digital-age?utm_source=Nov%202017%20newsletter&utm_campaign=November%202017&utm_medium=email
Please reference the Op-Ed piece that I am uploading and take a stance against that – Why SNAP does not need any improvement.
