Embracing Diversity in Speech-Language Pathology: A Personal Reflection

As a prospective student of the SJSU Speech-Language Pathology Program, I am deeply inspired by its commitment to enhancing diversity and improving access to this vital profession. Growing up in a multicultural environment, I was fortunate to be exposed to various languages and cultural practices from an early age. My parents immigrated from Mexico, and while they instilled in me a strong sense of pride in my heritage, they also emphasized the importance of bilingualism.
