Research a critical infrastructure event and discuss lessons learned as it relates to collaboration. Support your writing with evidence from your research and
course readings, and remember to cite your sources.
For the assignment you will need to:
- Identify and research a critical infrastructure event of interest to you (see resources below)
- List the affected critical infrastructure sector(s)
- Provide a brief summary of the event (Who? What? Where? Why?)
- Describe the impact or potential impact (Local? Regional? National? International? Multiple Sectors?)
- Explain the events significance to homeland security and emergency management (Why we should care?)
- Discuss lessons learned regarding collaboration: Considering course readings thus far, in what ways was collaboration present or absent in this event?
What barriers to collaboration existed and were/were not overcome?
Your work should be at least 2 pages (double-spaced) in length. Support your statements with evidence from the required studies and your research. Your
paper should be well written and demonstrate your ability to organize your thoughts and perspectives. It should be free from spelling and punctuation errors
and follow APA style instructions for citing sources.
