West/Kardashian family dynamics

The assignment consists of completing a multidimensional and functional bio-psycho-social assessment of an individual and their family system. Family
Therapy Approach (10pts)
1) Using the one of the family therapy approaches that you selected to study during the semester, describe how you will use it to work with the client and
family.
• Give your rationale for why this approach would be beneficial for this family and cite research supporting the family system approach as evidence-based to
target the population that the client and family represent.
Will use “Structural family therapy.” This approach could help with adaptation and growth. Ideally leading to Kim and Kanye successfully establishing new,
healthy boundaries as separated individuals that allow them to co-parent their children in the healthiest way possible.
2) Ethical Issues (1/2 to 1 page.)
• Identify ethical issues that you encountered, or think you might have encountered, when assessing and intervening with the identified client (or famous
person) and their family. These might include issues related to informed consent, confidentiality, client self- determination, professional boundaries, or
transference and/or countertransference. Describe how you managed (or might have managed) those issues, and how you will apply what you learned in
your first job as an MSW social worker.
Issues identified so far:
-Confidentiality due to excessive media coverage and the family’s reality show.
-Maintaining confidentiality from one another, “sense of loyalty” for diff family members.
-Shifting focus to the many moving parts of this family and giving each the necessary time, attention and resources.
3) Create a culturagram (1/2 page) as an appendix.

Implementing blind removals in San Diego county

Implementing blind removals in San Diego county to reduce racial disparity.
Provide 7-15 pages (a) describing your intervention in further detail, (b) the implementation framework (such as EPIS, CFIR) you are using for planning and
why you selected this implementation framework for your proposed solution, and (c) using the implementation framework components, outline your
proposed implementation plan for the practice or policy change you selected. Include potential strengths and challenges with the implementation and how
you plan to overcome the potential challenges. The paper should also (d) briefly describe how you will monitor if the implementation of your proposed
solution is effective.
IMPLEMENTATION
Intervention (policy or practice change)
Describe your intervention in detail (i.e., policy or practice change)
What exactly are you proposing for your intervention (i.e., specific components of a program or policy change)?
Example of level of detail: if implementing an evidence-based parenting program, identify the core components of the parenting program/model, length of
time of program/model, identify who will deliver the service/program, etc.
Implementation Framework
Describe the basic concept of the implementation framework that is guiding your implementation plan (i.e., EPIS or CFIR).
Describe why you selected the implementation framework – why is this framework a good fit? Has it been used in other child welfare program
implementations? (Hint: you may use a few of the articles on the website of the framework you selected to support your decision).
Implementation Plan
For each construct in the framework you selected (i.e., EPIS or CFIR), identify the key facilitators and barriers of implementing your intervention within your
organization. For the barriers, identify how you will address these to move forward with implementation – the list does not need to be exhaustive (you do not
have to think of everything), but you should have at least one facilitator, one barrier, and a solution for the barrier for each construct in your framework.
Briefly describe (a paragraph or two) your ideas for how you will monitor whether your implementation plan (i.e., your solutions) is effective. What data will
you need to collect?

Disability Policy Research

Disability Policy Research Paper (35%). In this paper, you will provide an in-depth analysis of a disability issue from a critical disability policy lens. This involves analyzing an issue that persists due to limited or ineffective policy. Students can either do an interview-based paper or a literature-based paper. Your paper should critically engage with a disability policy or program, i.e., gaps in social services, transportation, housing, employment, healthcare, mental health, income security, caregiver support, accessibility, medical and psychiatric systems, the criminal legal system, educational systems, and in homes, communities, and movements, and so on. Students are also encouraged to address in their analysis how these are further exacerbated by the effects of COVID-19, the trauma of racism, ableism, and other political, social and or economic factors that happens daily, and the related crisis witnessed and or experienced. The issue identified must be umbrella under a policy; thus evaluate the issue to determine how the policy addresses and whether the provisions are effective.
The paper should include the following sections:
1) Introduction
2) Describe the scale and scope of the disability issue?
3) Describe the umbrella policy for that issue?
4) Analyze the effectiveness of the policy/program?
5) Examine the limitation and or gaps of the policy/program?
6) Analyze the persistency of this disability issue under this policy/program?
7) Evaluate the challenges this population experience in light of COVID-19?
8) Policy/Program change suggestions?
9) Conclusion

Community Education and Advocacy

Community education and advocacy are both important components of the work that human service professionals do with children and their families. Both
types of interventions play important roles in working with this population. For this assignment, you have the opportunity to choose a social issue that
impacts children and their families and discuss the influence of both advocacy and community education on the issue that you identify.
Assignment Directions
Please be sure to address all of the following in your assignment:
Identify a social issue that impacts children and their families, and provide some background about the issue (who is impacted, how many people, and so
forth).
Some examples of social issues that you could choose include, but are not limited to, child abuse and neglect, teenage pregnancy, and homelessness.
Analyze two different ways that a human service professional could advocate for the social issue you discussed.
Define community education and examine how a human service professional would utilize community education as a strategy for the social issue chosen.
Specifically, examine what methods you might utilize to provide community education about the topic selected.
Some examples include workshops, newspaper, media, etc.
Analyze the effectiveness of advocacy and community education for the social issue that you discussed. In your answer, be certain to indicate if you think
advocacy or community education is more effective for the social issue. If you think they are both effective, be sure to indicate how and why.
Identify an organization that provides advocacy for the social issue you have discussed and an organization that provides community education related to
the issue. In your answer, be certain to examine whether or not you think the organizations are effective and if you would change or add anything related to
their advocacy or education services.
