Analyze and then discuss the FAA press releases, the document can be found in the TLMT 318 Course Resources folder in the resource area Be careful to analyze, not react to, the list of proposed fines, there is a lot of information to be gleaned from careful analysis.Analysis requires calculation not observation so you will need to set measurable parameters and then do the calculations. Reading the fines it is easy to recognize that many of the fines were based upon the leaking packages, that is observation not analysis. Saying that some percentage of the total number fines represented leaking packages is analysis; saying that most of the incidents were caught by ground handling personnel is observation, saying that a specific percentage of all of the fines represent cases where ground handling personnel identified the problem is analysis. You are required to do analysis.
For your discussion:
A. Basic results of your analysis and a discussion of your findings based upon the scientific analysis you have conducted. this requires mathematical calculations and development of percentages for criteria you select.
B. Analysis of company owned material (COMAT) when it is shipped in the Airline industry and its supporting contractors.
C. The training issues raised by this list. We know that the right training is not going to the right people so come up with explanations and/or solutions (not fines and threats of jail time).

Project Management Process
Describe how you will track scope and scope changes
Strategic Planning:Case Study Overview:In conventional business and government megaprojects–such as hydroelectric dams, chemical-processing plants, or big-bang enterprise-resource-planning systems–the standard approach is to build something monolithic and customized. Such projects must be 100% complete before they can deliver benefits: Even when it’s 95% complete, a nuclear reactor is of no use. On the basis of 30 years of research and consulting on megaprojects, the author has found two factors that play a critical role in determining success or failure: replicable modularity in design and speed in iteration. The article examines those factors by looking at well-known megaprojects, both successful ones, and cautionary tales.Case Study Link

Using the above link create a project canvas similar to the one on page 8
Describe your life cycle approach used to manage your project and why?
Describe at least five key stakeholders and your communication strategy
Describe how you will track scope and scope changes
Describe deliverables that will be created to track progress
Describe at least five risks and your mitigation strategy
Assignment Requirements:There is no narrative paper required for this project, however, a “narrative PowerPoint slide” should be submitted, which should include an audio presentation by all the team members. The PowerPoint slide should be submitted as a group to be graded. (Hint: each team member can record their piece of the presentation and the project manager can consolidate everything into one single file to be submitted. The entire audio presentation should not be more than 30 minutes, and should not be more than 25 slides.)

SCENARIO:
“Lauren is assigned manager of a project with a cross-functional team. Lauren has reviewed the profiles of her six team members her boss gave her. Lauren is both intrigued and anxious when she sees that team members are geographically dispersed.
Lauren works from the Atlanta office. One team member is in India; another is in Germany; and the rest live in the United States, but in different time zones. Two staff members are in the eastern time zone (Virginia and North Carolina) and two staff members are in the central time zone (Texas and Louisiana).
Lauren has never managed a virtual team and is unsure what special skills it will take to be successful. What competencies are necessary for virtual team leaders and members? She studies the team member profiles and creates a matrix to evaluate each member’s strengths and weaknesses from the perspective of working virtually. She includes herself because she realizes she needs to evaluate her own strengths and weaknesses. Lauren thinks about the challenges and opportunities she will face managing this virtual team.”
