An original multiplication mathematics lesson plan

Educators can develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills for their students by asking strategically planned questions during lessons.

Design an original multiplication mathematics lesson plan for 3rd grade that promotes critical thinking and problem solving. Use the attached lesson plan template.

In the Multiple Means of Expression section, include five questions that align to the lesson objective the teacher can pose to students.

The questions should:

Activate prior knowledge.
Identify potential student misconceptions that could interfere with learning.
Connect concepts, procedures, and applications.
Encourage critical thinking, exploration, and problem-solving.
In the Multiple Means of Engagement section include opportunities for students to consider real-world application, prior knowledge, and the steps to solve a problem.

The Assignment should address each of the following points:

Describe the experience.
Reflect on the experience and consider:
What were your preconceptions or expectations before the experience?
What were your reactions to, thoughts about, and/or emotional responses to the experience?
What did you gain or learn from this experience?
Explain privilege in relation to this social identity.
Apply concepts and material from this week’s resources to the experience.

Nursing Theory

Evidence suggests that patients do better when their expectations about specific benefits of nursing care are discussed and met. Design a “comfort contract” whereby patients or their surrogates designate an expected level of postsurgical overall comfort, and also where they can specify chronic discomforts and interventions that they use at home for relief.

SHAREHOLDERS’ INTEREST AND ETHICAL ISSUES

Grandma’s Cookie Company purchased a factory building. The company controller, Don Nelson, is in the process of allocating the lump-sum purchase price between land and building. Don suggests to the company’s chief financial officer, Judith Prince, that they fudge a little by allocating a disproportionately higher share of the price to land. Don reasons that this will reduce depreciation expense, boost income, increase their profit-sharing bonus, and hopefully, increase the price of the company’s stock. Judith has some reservations about this because the higher reported income will also cause income taxes to be higher than they would be if a correct allocation of the purchase price were made.

Required:

What stakeholders’ interest are in conflict?

What are the ethical issues?

Include the following:

Step 1—The Facts:

Step 2—The Ethical Issue and the Stakeholders:

Step 3—Values:

Step 4—Alternatives:

Step 5—Evaluation of Alternatives in Terms of Values:

Step 6—Consequences:

Step 7—Decision: Student must decide their course of action
