Objective: to describe the policy analysis process and to build your online presentation skills

Assignment:

Over the last few weeks you have learned about the policy analysis process. Now it’s time to put it all together. In detail, provide the following:

1. Discuss the policy analysis process in detail and describe its components in your own words. Be specific and include references from our text and content materials. You should write a minimum of three paragraphs.

2. Create a pretend scenario- describe a healthcare policy that you think needs to be passed and apply the policy analysis process to your scenario.

Literary Analysis: Comparing and Contrasting Plot, Character, and Theme in “Their Eyes Were Watching God,” “Becky,” and “Karintha”

You must select your two favorite short stories and the novel to analyze from the Fiction Reading List. You must include the novel.

Compare and contrast three of the following literary device categories: Plot, Point of View, Character, Setting, Tone and Style, Theme, and Symbolism in the three works required.  You may only use the literature from the Fiction Reading List. Use either the 1) similarities to differences or 2) point to point organizational pattern and transitional language provided on the Comparison and Contrast sheets.

Articulate an understanding of the literature selected in the essay as well as the literary terms selected for analysis rather than merely summarizing the literature articulated by external sources.

Write your essay using American Standard English. Incorporate proper syntax and grammar. Follow proper MLA formatting rules and include a well-crafted Works Cited page. A well-crafted 2-5 page (of text) essay. Attach the file and then click the submit button.  Do not use more than four external sources (this limit does not include the two short stories or novel) for in text citations.

Describe the issue of workplace violence. Provide data to support how this issue impacts the quality of care in the setting in which it occurs.
Using research evidence for support, present one possible solution that could be implemented to address the issue. In your discussion, be sure to include financial considerations as they relate to implementation of the solution.
Describe a leadership style that would best address the issue.
Discuss how this leadership style compares to your personal leadership style.
Compare two different leadership theories that could be applied to resolution of the issue. Explain how each theory would be effective in addressing the issue.
Discuss the nurse’s role within an interdisciplinary team in promoting patient quality and safety while fostering professionalism to address this issue.
