SCENARIO
You’ve been associated with an outpatient cardiology clinic that is part of a large academic medical center. Your patients are mostly charity care and managed Medicaid. Most have a prescription plan, but none have a “family doctor” and use the clinic (and the ED) regularly. Most are unfamiliar with their medications and do not have the resources for care coordination in their family/social network. About 25 CHF patients have been “lovingly,” but inappropriately, called “frequent fliers” because of their inability to manage their own care, their frequent visits to the ED, and their “one night stays” paid at the observation rate. As a staff nurse in this clinic, describe the strategies you could devise for you and your fellow staff nurses targeting these 25 patients. Find at least one article from the professional literature to corroborate your recommendations.
Post the following:
Describe the most appropriate leadership style and/or strategy to apply in the scenario you chose in order to implement the recommendations successfully. Justify your selection.

YOUR LEADERSHIP PROFILE
Do you believe you have the traits to be an effective leader? Perhaps you are already in a supervisory role, but as has been discussed previously, appointment does not guarantee leadership skills.
How can you evaluate your own leadership skills and behaviors? You can start by analyzing your performance in specific areas of leadership. In this Discussion, you will complete Gallup’s StrengthsFinder assessment. This assessment will identify your personal strengths, which have been shown to improve motivation, engagement, and academic self-conference. Through this assessment, you will discover your top five themes—which you can reflect upon and use to leverage your talents for optimal success and examine how the results relate to your leadership traits.
• Once you have completed your assessment, you will receive your “Top 5 Signature Themes of Talent” on your screen.
• Click the Download button below Signature Theme Report, and then print and save the report. We also encourage you to select the Apply tab to review action items.
Self-Leadership & Emotional Intelligence
Self-leadership is related to emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence according to Neck, Manz and Houghton (2017) “involves the ability to perceive, understand, and regulate our own or another person’s emotions” and emotionally intelligent people can “recognize and use his or her own and others’ emotional states to solve problems and regulate behavior.” Having confidence in our ability to self-lead our emotions can be a critical part of our effectiveness.

The breadth of risk can be overwhelming. As a strategic leader, describe how you would use tools, people, and/or scripture to address risk as a whole in an organization, specifically focusing on the role of the leader. Support your case with scholarly citations.
Heuristics Project
Heuristics on Leadership and the Use of Power: Advice to Your Future Self
Develop a set of heuristics or guidelines on leadership, influence, and the use of power.
Purposes Include:
(1) to synthesize ideas on leadership and the use of power developed
before and during the class,
(2) to integrate an ethical framework into the use of power,
(3) to stimulate discussion and collaboration among group members, and
(4) to produce a useful artifact from the class that group members can refer back to after the class is over.
This last purpose should be the most important long-term outcome of the course.
WHAT TO DO/INCLUDE:
Heuristics are a set of guidelines that people use to direct their activities. We all have a variety of heuristics in our lives, either formal or informal. A formal business heuristic might be a reorder point (trigger point) for reordering supplies like lumber, paper clips, or broccoli at work. An informal personal heuristic might be how much drive time you allow for when you travel to work.
Develop a set of heuristics for your practice of leadership and use of power.
Have at least thirty items, although you may certainly have more.
Your heuristics might include:
– Things you would do.
– Things you would not do.
– An ethical framework for the accumulation and use of power.
– Observations about the usefulness or effects of power.
You will need to provide an explanation for each heuristic in your list and why you chose
to include that.
A minimum of five of your heuristics should address ethical aspects of leadership and the
use of power (You may have overlap between these and other topics.).
Styles of Leadership and My Organization (Army)
Create a detailed outline for your research paper. The detailed outline should have an outline for the following:
· Introduction
· Literature review
· Findings
· Recommendations
· Conclusion
Make sure that you map the references from the annotated bibliography to the sections. It is expected that each section will be about half page to a page.
