Assume you have just accepted the position as CIO for a small but growing firm and are tasked with developing a plan for your organizations’ existing telecommunication structures and computer networks. The organization needs to protect the valuable information it has but be flexible enough to accommodate employees as they go about executing their jobs and getting business done. It needs to address security aspects such as remote data access, enterprise mobility, and internal communications such as email.

In a minimum 4 pages APA formatted paper (excluding title and reference pages) using the lecture, supplemental resources, and your research, discuss the following elements.

Illustrate the general architecture (centralized or distributed) to support the goals of the organization.
Using information from the course and your research, develop an outline of your security policy and plans that address the areas identified such as remote data access, smartphone access, and internal communications. Be as specific as possible.
Examine and compare the security policy differences between users who work remotely to users who work on-site in a traditional office environment.
Evaluate the elements critical for a successful implementation of such communication systems. Are they more technical such as hardware, software, network infrastructure, security, and cloud computing or more managerial such as project management, change management, logistics, and user involvement? Your list can be different from the list above. Provide the reasons for your arguments.
Include a minimum of five resources, one of which may be the textbook. Of these sources, three must be from the UAGC Library or IT industry standard periodicals.

Scenario
In today’s visually intensive world, we have increasing ways that images can be manipulated to create gifs and/or memes as a form of expression. In fact, there are entire apps devoted to these creations. However, freely posting such content on social media can make one wonder if it’s ethically sound to do so.
Furthermore, shows that focus on satire and parody, such as Saturday Night Live, MADtv, The Onion News Network, etc., are heavily reliant on the use of copyrighted content. You are known as an expert in creating memes and GIFs. You have been asked to write a blog post reflecting on these concerns. In preparation, you begin to ask yourself if anything is off limits? How ethical is the use of copyrighted material? And what should people think about deepfakes?
Instructions

Scenario
The company you work for uses numerous mediums to communicate to current clients, potential clients, and vendors, including direct mailings and email. However, you have noticed that the social media presence of your organization is minimal.
Though you’re new to the company, you’ve helped your previous employers produce effective communication strategies to increase clientele. To bring this to light, you decide to write a memo to your boss that provides a list of ways to create a more prominent social media presence targeting potential clients.
Instructions
For this project, you can pick what kind of products and/or services the company sells, as well as their primary target audience. This is important because you’ll need to decide which social media platform will be the most appropriate for that situation.
Choosing one specific social media platform as your focus—YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn—write an interoffice memo in Microsoft Word that touches on how this medium could be used, noting the different visual persuasion delivery methods. The memo should include the following:
o How this medium could be used, and the motivations behind the medium.
1. How this medium differs from the others (direct mail and email).
o Why your chosen social media platform should be used to leverage potential clients.
1. Briefly mention what products and/or services the company sells.
2. Explain the pros and cons of your chosen platform.

Scenario
You work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at a large hospital. You receive a phone call from your grandmother, who has received a bill from her healthcare provider after a recent stay at your hospital. She is having difficulty understanding the bill, and you agree to meet her to help her interpret the bill. To your surprise, you also find the bill difficult to decipher. You even called the hospital hoping for clarification, but that didn’t really help.
While you and your grandmother were eventually able to figure out how much she owed and when it was due, you are still bothered by this experience. With your knowledge of visual perception—as well as your understanding of how culture, emotion, and cognition play a vital role in our interpretation of our visual experiences—you decide to contact the Billing Supervisor about it. You realize the importance of the feedback you want to provide, so instead of simply hoping to remember everything to say in an impromptu meeting, you decide to write down your thoughts in a detailed email with recommendations on how they can create a bill that even your grandmother could understand.
Instructions
o First, search the web for an example of a confusing bill. You can search terms such as “confusing hospital bill,” “confusing clinic bill,” or “confusing medical bill.” It doesn’t need to be a real bill, i.e., it can be a template. But, it must be a bill that you think needs improvement in how it’s laid out.
o Then, draft an email using Microsoft Word. The email is directed to the healthcare provider on ways they might improve their bill using the following specific concepts:
1. Visual Organization
2. Connectivity
3. Aesthetics
o It might be difficult to find a bill that needs improvement for all three of the bulleted items. For example, you might find a bill that has good visual organization and connectivity, but the aesthetics could be improved. Or, you might find a bill that has good aesthetics, but the visual organization and connectivity need improving. Whatever bill you use for this assignment, make sure you explain in detail why it’s good or bad according to the bulleted items.
o The final email must be 1-2 pages in length.
Please keep in mind that this Deliverable is NOT about the costs of healthcare or health insurance policies on an individual or nationwide level. It’s solely about the cultural perception, emotional response, and visual cognition related to the text formatting and layout of the medical bill.

Interpersonal communication affects more than just us, it impacts others. Our interactions have ethical considerations. As learned in our textbook interpersonal communication involves ethical choices (Principle 3).

For your essay first share in your own words what Interpersonal Communication is and why it’s important to study.

Then share an interpersonal situation that involved an ethical issue. This can be from personal experience, current events, or seen on television. Give a detailed definition of what the ethical issue is (what makes it ethical) and what communication practices or principles were used to address the issues. Looking at the situation what communication principles could be used to create effective communication?

Provide a detailed analysis of the situation incorporating reading and textbook material. For instance, how does the situation relate to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, was dual perspective used, etc.

School board trustees are requesting public comment before they vote on a vaccination policy for all children in a local school district. Should individual rights (e.g., parents’ rights to decide whether to vaccinate their children) be compromised to control the spread of communicable diseases for the good of society?
