MMA was signed by President Bush in 2003. The MMA brought about sweeping changes that increased enrollment and improved access to Medicare Plans. Similarly, the PPACA was signed into law by President Obama in 2010. The law is expected to significantly increase access to Medicaid for the uninsured, low-income families, and individuals. Medicaid managed care has been implemented by most states, mainly because of rising costs, plan quality, access to providers, and the decrease in state revenues and federal matching funding. Medicare has explored managed care for the same reasons: to reduce costs, improve quality and improve access to providers. Using the South University Online Library or the Internet, research the following two topics and write a paper evaluating the impact of these policies on Medicare and Medicaid managed care.

You need to research on the following two topics:

Based on your research, answer the following questions:

Write a summary for each topic tying together the information learned about that topic.
Analyze the challenges Medicaid faces in terms of improving access to care, quality of care, and reducing the cost of care.
Analyze the challenges Medicare faces in terms of improving access to care, quality of care, and reducing the cost of care.
Draw conclusions about the future of managed care in each program—will it grow or decline? What will be the challenges for success?
Select at least four reputable articles per topic that address the challenges facing Medicare and Medicaid managed care.

The Development of a Virtual Child: Exploring Experiences Through Theoretical Frameworks and Course Topics

Paper Option #1 (Raise Child) Guidelines. This paper will be 3 pages in length, single-spaced with f-inch margins in 12-point Times New Roman font. The main text should be 2 single- spaced pages, which is approximately 1500 words. The third page will be a list of references.
Students are expected to properly cite information that is not their own (e.g., textbook, peer- reviewed articles, lectures) using APA in-text citation and reference style.
For this paper, you will explore the development of your virtual child. You will write a paper based on the integration of your virtual child’s experiences and what you have learned in this course (from readings, lectures, discussions, videos, etc). Using data from the simulation, explore your virtual child’s experiences through 1 theoretical framework (e.g., Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory, Attachment, Piaget’s cognitive theory, Erikson’s psychosocial theory) and 1 topic covered in class (e.g., friends, school, identity, gender, race, culture, media, internalizing and externalizing problems, cognitive, social, physical, or emotional development). In applying your chosen theory and topic to your virtual experience, also reflect on issues of privilege and oppression, intersectionality, and/or institutional stratification. You are required to locate and integrate 3 high-quality empirical articles that exemplify social science research regarding your topics of choice. Your grade will be based on your ability to follow the directions for the paper, the quality of your writing, and your ability to link the experiences of your virtual child with course materials.

Part 1: You have been asked to Interview a healthcare leader. For this interview you will need to do the following:
