Project Management

Each year at the end of summer, Outdoor Recreation Unlimited puts on a major sales event that includes live music, displays of discounted outdoor clothing and gear, food vendors and fun outdoor activities in order to sell their remaining retail and have a great time in the process. This year, your boss has given you the task of being the project manager for this event. The event will take place in three months and you’ll be managing a team of five interns to help plan the event.

It is your first time in a project management role and you want to prove to him that you are knowledgeable and well-equipped to take on these type of duties. He prefers to not micromanage you, but would like he and his team of executives to be aware of your plans before you start the project. To do this, he has asked that you put together a 10-15-slide PowerPoint presentation for the company’s board of directors that answers the following questions:

What are your cost estimates for the project? (You have an unlimited budget, but in past years, costs for this event have not surpassed $30,000.)
What major milestones and timeline will you adhere to?
How will you ensure quality and prepare for risks along the way?
How will you manage your team assigned to this project?
How you will report the status of the project?
How you will measure the success of the project at its close?

“Oral Health Promotion to Improve the Quality of Life in Older Adults Living Independently”

I’m currently working on a capstone project titled “Oral Health Promotion to Improve the Quality of Life in Older Adults Living Independently”. The project is taking place in and adult living community in Miami Florida and the intervention to be implemented as the practice change project will be a 4 week oral health education program targeted to improve knowledge about oral care, benefits and consequences.

In 750 words explain that

· you encountered a problem statement that guided you to develop your practice change project.

· What problem did you find on the site that made you develop an implementation to improve it? Oral health is overlooked by many adults and it is not considered as important as other health issues.

· Why do you think this problem, if not addressed, would affect patients’ quality of life? If not addressed has consequences like cavities, gum disease, or might develop in something worse like pneumonia or endocarditis.

· Do you think its implementation is necessary to improve or solve the problem?

EFFECTS OF PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT ON ADOLESCENTS

You probably noted from the Learning Resources this week the interrelationship between the processes and constructs of development, in relation to adolescent development. Cognitive changes, including hypothetico-deductive reasoning, metacognitive skills, and more complex forms of thinking impact how an adolescent perceives and reacts to the world. Higher-order thinking contributes to how romantic and peer relationships are established and maintained.Think back to your experiences as an adolescent and the feelings and thoughts you had regarding your developing body. How did your burgeoning cognitive abilities impact your adjustment to the effects of puberty? Did the imaginary audience and personal fable have any impact on your behavior and beliefs? Keep these questions in mind as you examine the effects of physical development on adolescents in this Assignment.
