If so, where do you need to visit? Why those places are important for you to get to know the person? e) Do you need to interview somebody? Whom would you like to interview. What would you like to ask? f) What else do you need to know? How do you gather additional data?

Data or social media data

Conduct a research project that uses interview data or social media data and submit a research report of 3500 words, based on a research problem that you have encountered in the educational research literature, or your own professional experience

Performance data

Developing a unit plan provides structure and outlines the standards, objectives, lessons, materials, and assessments. It is especially helpful when planning cross-curricular units. Creating effective unit plans requires consideration of standards alignment, assessment strategies, instructional methods, and student needs. Thoughtful planning of resources, materials, and technology is important to supplement the learning and promote engagement, as well as helping students to make real-world connections.

Choose a grade level and at least one science and one health state or national standard from that grade to develop a unit plan for an inclusive classroom. Using the “3 Day Unit Plan Template” located in the Student Success Center, create a cross-curricular 3-day unit that conveys the nature of science for the practice of skills that contribute to good health. The unit plan should use multiple representations and explanations that capture key ideas in the discipline, guide student through learning progressions, and promote each student’s achievement of content standards. Include ample resources, materials, and supplementary technology to support accessibility, learning, and engagement for all students. Prepare opportunities throughout the unit that gather performance data and appropriately guide students in their own thinking and learning.

Below the unit plan, write a 250-500 word rationale justifying how the unit provides opportunities to examine performance data throughout the unit in the inclusive classroom.

Include the following:

How do activities guide and engage students in their own thinking and learning?
How do activities inform instructional planning based on learning gaps and patterns in the inclusive classroom?
How will the teaching strategies and technologies used encourage students’ development of critical thinking and problem solving skills?

Research Design and Data Collection Methods

S‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍econdary or extant data (data that is already available) can be very helpful for any marketing research project. Because it is already available, there is no need for you to spend the time or the money to repeat studies or surveys that have already been done. A quick scan of extant data at the beginning of a research project can save a lot of time and help you decide how to best budget your time and resources. Using extant data can also be problematic. If a study was conducted for a different purpose than yours, results may not be exactly applicable to your situation. Also, sometimes it can be just as difficult or expensive to get secondary data as it is to perform the actual research. Therefore, it is important to examine sources of extant data carefully and make good decisions about when it is ‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍appropriate to rely on existing information and when you need to conduct primary research yourself. The purpose of this assignment is to identify sources of data and use the information from those sources to create a marketing research design. First, identify a minimum of three sources of data. Using the data and your own research, write a 1,500 word research design. Include the following criteria: A brief description of each sources of data and a 100-word summary of information collected. A description of the research design. A description of the type of data to be collected (qualitative/quantitative), with rationale for their use. A description of the chosen data collection method with procedure. A description of the population. A description of sampling size, frame, and technique‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍.

Conflicting Visions media

In light of the scenario in the Conflicting Visions media activity, respond to the following in a 5–6 page paper:
1. How will your beliefs impact you as a human services professional in this situation?
o Analyze your own beliefs about culture, diversity, and inclusion in regard to this scenario.
o How do you feel about same-sex couples and have your feelings changed over time?
o How do you think families should treat members of the family with whom they disagree?
o What is the role of religion when it comes to family relationships?
2. As you work with this deeply religious family, what would culturally competent, inclusive practice and decision-making look like?
o Analyze how your own beliefs and those of the family would be reflected in culturally competent, inclusive practice.
3. Analyze how religious and cultural beliefs might affect Karl’s functioning and clinical presentation.
o How might you expect Karl to behave in a session with his family?
o What sorts of feelings might Karl have and how might these be related to his own religious and cultural beliefs?
4. In the first session, Karl’s parents insist that he cannot marry someone of the same sex. Describe a plan of action you would propose to help this family resolve this crisis in a way that might salvage the family relationships?
