Scenario You have been working at a large metropolitan law enforcement agency for some time and have recently received a promotion that has taken you to a much smaller agency. After your first few months on the job, you have noticed that your new agency could benefit from adopting technology you are familiar with from your previous agency. You are preparing to pitch your request for this technology to your chief and the research and development division of your agency.

Directions In this assignment, you will create a pitch for the adoption of a new technology at your agency based on the tools you have explored in this course. Create a presentation with speaker notes that addresses the following required elements. Your presentation should be at least eight slides in length, not including introduction and reference slides.

1. Identify a technological tool that would improve the efficiency, transparency, or accountability of your agency.

1. The DP gives closure to victim’s family.
2. The Federal Constitution states: The Fourteenth Amendment, and the Fifth Amendment includes a due process clause stating that no person shall “be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law”. The Fifth Amendment’s Due Process Clause applies to the federal government, while the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process Clause applies to state governments
3. The U.S. has always had the DP except for a 4-year period following Furman v. Georgia. The Supreme Court has held the DP to be constitutional in Gregg v. Georgia.
4. The majority of Americans still favor the DP.

Design a 3- or 4-question survey to collect data related to the evaluation questions you created. Note: Refer to Exhibit III-4, “Tips for Developing Surveys and Survey Questions,” on p. 62 of “Measuring Excellence: Planning and Managing Evaluations of Law Enforcement Initiatives” from the U.S. Department of Justice – Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS).
