Read Hout, Porter, & Rudden’s (1982) article and review the three examples of the companies that were successful in competing globally. Each of the companies had a different approach to executing global strategy. In today’s current global environment, why should a company engage in international business? Using a minimum of five new peer reviewed journal articles, provide examples of companies who were successful in doing this. Is their strategy similar to the Hout, Porter, & Rudden (1982) article? Explain.

Provide a 600 to 800-word summary (formatted according to APA guidelines) of the new
research in this area from a minimum of five new peer reviewed journal articles and identify
questions that need exploring in future research.
Your discussion should be organized in a three-paragraph format:
Introductory Paragraph: gives an overview and definition of the topic you chose. At the end of
the paragraph it gives an idea of how your forum is organized.
Current Trends Paragraph: In this paragraph, you will discuss the themes that you found in
the research from the 5 articles related to your topic. This paragraph should be a synthesis of the
research and not just a listing of annotated summaries.
Future Research Paragraph: In this paragraph, you will discuss areas of future research by
referencing the 5 articles that you identified. The future research areas should be based on the
findings of the authors of those articles rather than general ideas you may have.

For this individual project, you are to create a fictitious medium-sized company. The company has 150 employees and uses a mixed operating system environment (MacOSX and Windows, or Linux and Windows).
Deliverables:
• Define the organization and its purpose
• Explain which segments or functional groups within the organization use Windows and which use Linux or MacOSX
• Discuss your plans for maintaining the security of those platforms including any tools that you will employ and why, including (at a minimum):

Educators are in a unique position to, directly and indirectly, influence children’s development. By being informed and having access to current information and resources, educators can empower themselves and their students to be intentional about social and emotional learning and development. Teachers also have a unique opportunity to encourage families to be mindful of how to support social and emotional development at home.

 

For fellow educators that examine the importance of social/emotional learning. Include the following elements:

Discuss the effect that prenatal development and care and early childhood experiences can have on adolescent social and emotional development.
Select three developmental stages (prenatal, infancy, toddlerhood, early childhood, middle childhood, or adolescence) and provide specific social/emotional milestones for each of the selected stages.
Share two social-emotional learning strategies or activities for each selected developmental stage that teachers can implement in the classroom.
Define and provide examples of self-regulation. Identify two or three specific ways teachers can model and encourage the development of self-regulation skills in the classroom.
Provide families with social and emotional learning strategies and/or self-regulation skills to implement at home to support their child’s social/emotional development within the selected developmental stages.
Note: if you choose late elementary or adolescent stages, suicide and self-harm are appropriate and important topics to include.

Organizations use computers and information systems to reduce costs and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. While workers have telecommuted for many years, this practice exploded during the COVID19 pandemic as academic institutions and organizations went 100% online. This drastic shift forced learners from kindergarten to graduate school to shift to an entirely different pedagogy. This was also the same for the workforce as many workers shifted from their cubicles/offices to their living rooms and dens.

Research a particular industry (academic or corporate) and explain how they converted to telecommuting from an IT perspective.
