Behavior Analyst Certification Board. (2020). Ethics code for behavior analysts

Maria is a BCBA at a local ABA agency. She is the only BCBA on staff who speaks both English and Spanish. The agency has taken more cases with Spanish-speaking families because families are requesting Maria work with their child. In addition, the agency has also asked Maria to supervise five Spanish-speaking RBTs who are currently in a graduate program in ABA. Maria is feeling overwhelmed and over-scheduled, but also feels pressure to maintain the workload since she’s the only staff member available to provide services and supervision in Spanish.

You have to right a 100 word paragraph. Picking which ethics standard apart of the BCBA’s ethics code would best fit this scenario. You can use 4.03 or/and another to back up your statement.

An example for how the post should look and sound:

Although it is admirable that Maria wants to help out as many families as she can, Section 4.03 of the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts states that a behavior analyst should only take the number of cases that allows them to provide adequate training and supervision (Behavior Analyst Certification Board [BACB], 2020). It seems Maria might be overwhelmed with the number of cases she has to supervise and the amount of training she has to provide to RBTs. Therefore, it would be proactive for her to reach out to the ABA agency’s clinical director to express her concerns regarding her workload. This way, she can express that she cannot take on more training and supervision for the time being. During this conversation, Maria can indicate that it would be helpful for the ABA agency to hire another BCBA with the same skill set so she can provide the appropriate amount of supervision and training without overwhelming her workload.

Ethics permeate all aspects of their operations

In today’s competitive business environment, project leaders need to ensure ethics permeate all aspects of their operations. Discuss how ethics and leadership can add moral dimensions to the decision-making process for any successful organization.

Ethics comprises beliefs, principles, and values that guide behavior and decision-making, while leadership involves the ability to influence and inspire others to achieve common goals (Beebe et al., 2022). Incorporating ethics and leadership into the decision-making process can help ensure that an organization makes ethical and morally sound decisions. Leaders who prioritize ethics and values in their decision-making process can craft policies and strategies that align with the organization’s vision, mission, and values. This alignment helps in creating a sense of purpose and a strong ethical culture throughout the organization. This sense of purpose and ethical culture helps employees become more engaged and produces better results, as they feel that they are part of an organization that cares not only about profits but also about its people.

B TERRENCE
The moral and ethical decisions made by individuals are strengthened if a genuine exchange of their values and beliefs provides the foundation for them to make decisions. By building a foundation of trust and honesty, communities will be able to develop a greater confidence in the decisions that are made by them and a greater openness to the idea of innovation as a result. For a team to be successful, everyone must have the confidence that members will complete their work in a timely manner and adhere to the standards of the workplace.

C ALEX
For any organization to be successful the foundation and structure of the organization should project the use of ethical behavior and leadership onto employees. Ethics have been considered a critical component in human behavior throughout many cultures (Beebe, et al, 2022). Leadership within an organization should primarily be used to project characteristics and behavior to every employee in a company. When a person in a leadership role demonstrates these values everyone else is more likely to follow the example. This can help lead the company to operate more fluently and also be genuinely happier. Leadership in a company should define the ethical and moral values which should be displayed in everyday work and then set an example for everyone by following the ethical values. If ethical values are followed it will make every decision made within the company more productive and also more successful.

Rather than paste together all of the previous assignments, the outline below should be followed and will require you to re-arrange sections of the previous assignments.

All of the information you need to complete the projects in this class is not provided in the case study. In the discussion area of the classroom, there is a discussion titled “Case Study Interview Questions” where you can pose questions about the case study, as if you were interviewing the people in the case study organization. Any information that you need that is not included in the case study should be asked about in this discussion. Responses from the faculty member on behalf of the case study organization will be available for everyone in the class.

Use the case study and the Case Study Interview Questions discussion, your previously submitted staged assignments (including the feedback received), and resources and source documents (previously submitted documents, as corrected) listed below to create a Final System Report in the format provided. Note that sections are re-organized and some paragraphs may need to be re-written using earlier content but presented as required here. Items highlighted in yellow indicate sections that need to be added to or created for this Report.

Differentiate between matters of law and matters of ethics in business situations

A few years ago Clare Applewood started a small outdoor equipment business called Mountain Top View. The company is a sole proprietorship. The company began as a single storefront and has grown rapidly to include online ordering through the company website. The company’s website includes the statement, “We are committed to keeping customer information secure and protected.” Clare also uses social media sites to market the company.

Carlos Rodriguez has worked for the company since the beginning. He oversees both store and online operations. Clare and Carlos make most decisions together.

Steve, the company’s Information Technology lead, discovered that the company database of customer information was hacked. Customer names, addresses, and phone numbers were accessed for only those customers who placed online orders in the first quarter of the year. Steve was able to correct the code that allowed the hack and is confident that the database is now secure.

When Carlos overhears Steve talking about the database fix in the store break room, he questions Steve about why he did not bring the breach to anyone’s attention. Steve explains that because he was able to quickly correct the code that led to the breach, and because only address and phone number information for a handful of customers was accessed, he didn’t think it was necessary to say anything.

Clare asks Carlos to evaluate whether the company has an ethical and/or legal obligation to report the breach to their customers and to recommend a course of action. She also asks Carlos to select an ethical test or framework that all employees can use in the future to help guide their decisions.
