The Impacts Of Physical Activity

Regular activity and exercise have been proven to positively affect health and well-being, including the improved function of body systems like the nervous system. Research your preferred activity or exercise and make notes of the impacts to the respiratory system, the peripheral nervous system, and the brain if you were to engage in this activity regularly.

In your initial post:

For the initial discussion response, share some specific ways that engaging in a moderate level of activity or exercise will impact your respiratory system (for example: consider possible impacts on lung compliance, respiratory volume, or oxygenation of body tissues). How does this activity affect the nervous system? Are there any benefits to the autonomic nervous system? What do you think is the optimal duration and frequency of this activity in order to improve health outcomes?

Social studies and the arts are no different.

Social studies and the arts are no different. These broad content areas have organized standards to help educators guide their planning and instruction. Understanding standards’ rationale and design allows an educator the ability to effectively plan and prepare instruction for social studies and the arts.

In preparing for this assignment, explore the national and state standards for social studies and the arts including correlating resources. In a 500-750 word narrative, respond to these prompts:

Briefly describe the relationship between the NCSS themes, National Social Studies Standards, and social studies standards for your state. Briefly explain the arts standards for your state. If your state does not have their own art standards, refer to another state or the national art standards. Explain how these resources affect planning and instruction.
Describe how social studies and the arts content are connected or can be connected.
Using the social studies and the arts standards, analyze how implementing these standards in the classroom is important to the individual student and society.
Explain three challenges of meeting all the social studies and/or the arts standards over the course of a school year in an inclusive classroom. Describe how to address these challenges as well as the value of teaching social studies and the arts in the inclusive classroom.

A gentlemen in Moscow

Bread. On pages 369-375, we encounter Mishka’s grand artwork, Bread and Salt, which consists of excerpts from great literature that include the word bread. We know that bread matters to Mishka because of having been required to delete sentences from a letter by Chekhov about the excellent bread in other countries. (263). And of course, he is himself almost starving when he last sees Alexander. What is the meaning of Mishka’s artwork, Bread and Salt? Or, what is the significance of “bread” in the novel?

Write three paragraphs interpreting this motif. Your paper does not need an introduction. Just write three paragraphs. Make sure each paragraph has a topic sentence (stating the main point of the paragraph) and at least one quotation. in detail about 2 and half page length

Davis v. Washington

After completing Read: Davis v. Washington, 547 U.S. 813, assume the following facts:

After leaving a bar, a woman enters her car in a darkened parking garage. She is confronted by her ex-husband, against whom she has a domestic no-contact order. She attempts to dial 911 from her cellular telephone but is unable to make a connection. Amazingly, she can take a photograph with her phone and send an accompanying text message, asking for assistance to a law enforcement friend. The officer and woman exchange text messages about who is assaulting her and where she is located until the ex-husband flees. The woman is unable to appear at trial and the defendant moves to suppress the “statements” at his trial for felony violation of the no-contact order.

Given the above facts and using the Court’s rationale for distinguishing “testimonial” and “non-testimonial” statements, state whether the text message and photograph should be admitted as evidence at trial and why.
According to Deuteronomy 19:15, “One witness is not enough to convict a man accused of any crime or offense he may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses” (NIV 1984). In light of that scripture, elaborate how you would change or not change your answer.
