GOVERNANCE, ETHICS, AND SECURITY

Assume the role of an IT security consultant who has been contacted by a company to provide them with a written code of IT conduct for its employees and a security policy for the firm. In preparation for undertaking this large job, prepare a proposal explaining what topics you will include in the code and policy, and why.

Your proposal should address the following:

Identify the types of security relevant to IT professionals.

Explain the relationship of security to ethical IT practices.

Identify business impacts of information security breaches.

The core of feelings theories of emotion

Illustrate the ideas at the core of feelings theories of emotion and link the relevance to a discussion so that the analysis may be developed in the dissertation. Look at key debates such as debates concerning the relationship between emotions and rationality. Explain what the main positions in this area may argue and what stance will be taken with regard to them in the dissertation. Theories of emotion: James Lange Theory, Cannon Bard Theory, Schachter Singer/Two factor Theory, Lazarus’ cognitive meditational theory. It is key to look at cognitive rationality and strategic rationality and explore a number of ways in which the emotions can succeed or fail with respect to different standards of rationality

Hypertension

Develop an instructional brochure on the nutritional aspects of one of the disorders below:
Hypertension

Include in your brochure all points below:
Explanation of the pathophysiology of the disorder. Provide 4 risk factors OR 4 symptoms of the disorder.
Two common medications used for the disorder. Explain how medications work to treat the disorder. Include 3 nutritional considerations for each medication.
Identify an evidence-based diet to prevent or reduce the incidence of the disorder.
Include at least 3 specific foods that should be included in the diet, provide rational for why foods should be included in the diet for this disease process.
Include at least 3 specific foods that should be avoided in the diet, provide rational for why the foods should be excluded from the diet for disease process.
Examples of Evidence-based diets:
Low sodium diet

Creating and implementing lesson plans

Special educators have the important task of creating and implementing lesson plans that effectively differentiate instruction, meet student needs, and are aligned to appropriate state standards. Planning effective language arts lessons includes accommodating all students, incorporating interesting materials, and meeting standards and student IEP objectives. It is essential to model pre-reading, during reading, and after reading metacognitive strategies and to incorporate cross-curricular content areas in reading and language arts lessons.
Using the “COE Lesson Plan Template,” create a cross-curricular lesson plan that incorporates a picture walk and is specific to the needs of students in the “Class Profile.” Select a K-3 grade level and align your lesson to the Arizona or other state academic content standards. Using an appropriate non-fiction picture book, incorporate the following into your lesson plan:
• Pre-reading strategies and activities
• During reading strategies and activities
• Vocabulary development
• Interactive differentiation activities
• After reading activities and strategies
• Written language and oral language activities

Qualitative Methods

Explore the qualitative methods that could be used to collect data in your area of research. On the basis of your exploration, respond to the following points:

Explain the observations that you would conduct to collect data and discuss what you would expect to learn through these observations.
If surveys or interviews would be appropriate, describe how you would proceed and what you would expect to learn.

Defining a Gap in Practice: Executive Summary

Develop a PICOT question that defines a gap in practice and write a 2-3 page executive summary presenting the key elements that decision makers will need to make decisions.

Introduction

Note: Complete the assessments in this course in the order in which they are presented.

It is important to define your ideas clearly and precisely to help develop and sustain stakeholder buy-in with any project being created to improve outcomes. Using a PICOT gives the reader a clear idea of your improvement project in one succinct sentence. Another important communication tool is written for the administrative stakeholders in the form of an executive summary. The executive summary provides a brief and precise narrative of what you want to expedite for your improvement project. Executive summaries are commonly associated with business plans, marketing plans, evaluation studies, and other materials that are created to guide decision making and action. As an actionable document, the executive summary is meant to set out the key elements that a decision maker will need in order to make decisions and, as important, to justify those decisions to those to whom the decision maker is responsible.

Preparation

Read the following:

· American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing. (2016). Scope and standards of practice for registered nurses in care coordination and transition management .

. Standard 1: Assessment.

. Standard 2: Nursing Diagnoses.

. Standard 3: Outcomes Identification.

. Standard 4: Planning.

. Standard 5a: Coordination of Care.

. Standard 5b: Health Teaching and Health Promotion.

Assessment Summary

Develop a PICOT question that defines a gap in practice related to a specific population at the organizational, regional, or national level for care coordination. Write a 2–3 page executive summary (not including the title and reference pages). Include 4–6 scholarly sources on the reference page. You may use the Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing & Health Sciences: PICOT Question Process library guide to help direct your research.

You are encouraged to formulate a PICOT question based on a clinical question from your field of expertise or reflective of a specialization or strong area of career interest.

Grading Criteria

The numbered instructions outlined below correspond to the grading criteria in the Defining a Gap in Practice: Executive Summary Scoring Guide, so be sure to address each point. You may also want to review the performance-level descriptions for each criterion to see how your work will be assessed.

1. Analyze clinical priorities for a specific population to effectively influence health outcomes with a care coordination process.

2. Apply a PICOT question to a gap in practice at the organizational, regional, or national level for care coordination.

. What is the PICOT question?

. Provide and explanation of the selected gap.

· Evaluate the potential services and resources for care coordination that are currently available for use with the selected population.

Potential complications of aspiration of vomitus.

Mr. J, age 42, is a construction worker in Las Vegas who lives with his daughter and grandson, Sammy. He recently noticed that a mole on his face seemed to be getting larger and darker. At first, he did not worry because he was in the sun a lot and assumed the change may have been caused by sunburn. After a month, not only was the mole larger and darker, but it appeared to be “bumpy.” His doctor diagnosed a malignant melanoma skin cancer following biopsy of the nevus. Mr. J reports pain in his right shin that does not go away when he puts his feet up or sleeps.
Discussion Questions
1. Relate Mr. J’s skin changes to the warning signs for malignant melanoma.
2. Discuss the normal progression of this malignancy. What is the significance of the bone pain that Mr. J is experiencing?
3. Discuss the treatment available for this patient and the prognosis for recovery.
Discussion Questions
Mr. J is babysitting his grandson Sammy, age 3 years, who ate his dinner and then said his tummy hurt. Mr. J suggested he lie down in the adjacent room while his parents finished dinner. A few minutes later, Mr. J heard Sammy vomiting. He rushed in to lift Sammy up. When vomiting ceased, he noticed Sammy continued to cough and seemed to be choking. He was struggling to breathe, and a wheezing sound was obvious. It appeared that he had aspirated some vomitus. Mr. J drove him to a nearby hospital for examination.
1. Discuss the specific effects of aspirating vomitus on Sammy, including the probable effects on his bronchi and lungs. Why might one lung be affected more than the other?
2. Discuss the pathophysiologic changes causing the signs and symptoms and any tests required to clarify the effects on Sammy.
3. Suggest some reasons for Sammy’s difficulty breathing and wheezing.
4. Discuss the potential complications of aspiration of vomitus.

Vulnerabilities of the energy grid

determine the vulnerabilities of the energy grid to a cyber-attack. The researcher seeks to produce an assessment of these vulnerabilities and provide suggested mitigation strategies. This study will benefit cyber security professionals in the government and energy sectors by identifying these gaps. The study is important because the number of cyber-attacks have increased in recent years, causing billions of dollars in damage.

Research Question

What are the vulnerabilities of the energy sector to a cyber-attack?
