Recent researchers stated that “[c]ompanies with an established organizational culture that includes strong capabilities for change, a commitment to innovation and a high level of trust have a significant advantage” (Eccles, Perkins, & Serafeim, 2012, p. 44) when attempting to adopt a strategy of broad-based corporate sustainability. In fact, according to the National Business Ethics Survey (ECI, 2013) results, building strong corporate ethics cultures are paramount and leaders must continue this work to ensure progress.

Organizational leaders should have a strong incentive to identify and address any disparities that exist between their organization’s current culture and a productive, healthy one. They must understand the impact they can have as leaders in facilitating an organizational culture, determining the necessary steps to build that culture, and taking the necessary action to create a healthy organizational culture. Leaders must also be able to utilize principles of positive social change to enhance both their leadership styles and overall organizational culture.

For this Assignment, you will continue to familiarize yourself with Dr. Craig Marsh’s challenges and those things he must consider as he builds a new corporate culture. Imagine again that you have similar challenges, but before building a new corporate culture, you must become familiar with relevant research to make the appropriate decisions.

prepare for this Assignment, review the “Leading a Virtual Organization” videos (PLEASE SEE IN THE FILES AREA THE VIDEOS TRANSCRIPTS) and Case Study Guide in this week’s Learning Resources, and consider the insights gained by Dr. Marsh in his journey as an organizational leader.

1. Analyze Dr. Marsh’s challenges and their influence on an organization’s culture.
2. Summarize the leadership style you would adopt to influence the organization’s culture and why.
3. Explain the organizational change or cultural change model or steps you would take to change the culture.
4. As a global change agent, explain how you would infuse positive social change into your leadership style and organizational culture.
5. Describe the incremental steps you would take given your selected model to ensure success.
6. Explain how these steps will influence each of the challenges you face and the mitigation plan to eliminate the challenges.
7. Delineate the key concepts you would include in your vision statement.

Similarities and differences between democratic

Questions (PICK ONE):
1. Throughout this semester, we have discussed the similarities and differences between democratic
and non-democratic regimes. With this dichotomy in mind, is there a relationship between a
country’s international standing (e.g., World Happiness Index, GINI, HDI, economic prosperity,
etc.) and their respective regime type? Do rich countries become democracies more readily than
poorer ones? Are non-democratic regimes always disadvantaged against democratic regimes?
Reflect on these questions as you provide your answer.
2. What is a political norm? Do political norms matter? Is there interplay between political norms
and legitimacy? Please provide specific examples when answering each question.
3. Throughout this semester, we have discussed the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. By analyzing the
various responses by the international community, a thread of unity in response can be seen
across many of the countries. Why has most of the international community joined in a united,
targeted approach towards Russia in this crisis? What is at stake should Russia gain control of
Ukraine? What justification(s) does Russia claim for the necessity of the invasion? Are these
justifications compelling and legitimate?
4. Throughout this semester, we have discussed several instances of countries experiencing
“democratic backsliding”. Utilizing Nancy Bermeo’s foundational work, do you find this idea
convincing/compelling? What do you attribute as the cause(s) of democratic backsliding? Are all
democracies prone to backsliding? If so, is backsliding inevitable? Please provide specific
examples to support your response.
5. When analyzing the rise and establishment of statehood across Europe’s history, Charles Tilly
said, “war made the state and the state made war”. Do you agree with this statement? Are there
instances outside of Europe that challenge this statement? Please provide specific examples to
support your position.
6. When analyzing non-democratic regimes, it is evident that many of these systems maintain
many political institutions found in democracies. What is the purpose of a non-democratic
regime allowing the establishment of political opposition, holding elections, and/or allowing
public dissent? Please provide specific countries and examples within them to support your
response.
7. Scholars have often argued that countries with an abundance of resources fall victim to the
“resource curse”. Please describe what this “curse” is and provide concrete examples (verifiable,
empirical evidence) that support or challenge the claim that the “curse” exists.
8. Following the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan on 30 August 2021, the topic of
nation-building has been thrust into the limelight. What is nation-building? When is nationbuilding effective in establishing a stable government/system? When does nation-building fail?
What complications exist in the application of nation-building? Please provide specific
examples when answering each question.
9. When looking at the world’s approach towards addressing climate change, we can see several
instances of the international community coming together to draft agreements and policies.
However, when these conferences, meetings, and summits conclude, it can be argued that little
materializes in domestic policies. By analyzing these conferences, when has the international
community made considerable progress in addressing climate concerns? Why has it been so
difficult to unite the international community in meeting the moment against this existential
threat? Please provide specific examples to answer each question.

Concepts of technology application

Review the concepts of technology application as presented in the Resources.
Reflect on how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence may help fortify nursing informatics as a specialty by leading to increased impact on patient outcomes or patient care efficiencies.
In a 4- to 5-page project proposal written to the leadership of your healthcare organization, propose a nursing informatics project for your organization that you advocate to improve patient outcomes or patient-care efficiency. Your project proposal should include the following:

1.Describe the project you propose. (Using Technology to prevent Patient falls)

2.Identify the stakeholders impacted by this project.

3.Explain the patient outcome(s) or patient-care efficiencies this project is aimed at improving and explain how this improvement would occur. Be specific and provide examples.

4.Identify the technologies required to implement this project and explain why.

5.Identify the project team (by roles) and explain how you would incorporate the nurse informaticist in the project team.

Law regarding worker’s compensation

Pursuant to the chapter reading, what wage and work hour protections exist for employees today? Identify and explain at least three and summarize the statutory laws affecting employee rights over the past 50 years. Explain the evolution of the law in your own words.
To ensure employee safety in the workplace, Congress passed the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. The Act is administrated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) that investigates safety and health violations in the workplace and, through the justice department, imposes fines and/or injunctions on companies that violate the Act. Research a safety and health violation in your home state and provide the example, summarizing the facts and the outcome. See the link here:Enforcement Cases with Initial Penalties of $40,000 or Above | Occupational Safety and Health Administration (osha.gov)
What happens when an employee is hurt on the job? Explain the law regarding worker’s compensation in your home state and provide a source for your information.

David Mathis’ Habits of Grace: Enjoying Jesus Through the Spiritual Disciplines.

Throughout the course, the students will be reading David Mathis’ Habits of Grace: Enjoying Jesus Through the Spiritual Disciplines. This book outlines different spiritual disciplines (called habits) that foster spiritual growth. As they read the book, the students will attempt to participate in 6 of these spiritual disciplines, with at least one from each of the main categories described in the book (Word, Prayer, and Fellowship).

The students will submit a 4–5 page paper in which they describe their experience with these disciplines. The paper will consist of an introduction, 6 sections (one for each of the disciplines the students participated in (half-page minimum)), and a conclusion. Each section will a.) describe what the discipline is (according to Mathis) and b.) reflect on the students’ own experience in practicing the discipline.

Relevant organizational problem

1. Define the relevant organizational problem you have selected to examine. This is a critical first step because the entire staff study is based on the identification of the problem. PROBATION PRE-TRIAL OFFICE
2. Discuss why it is an important issue for your agency by relating its impact on the mission and the objectives of the organization.
3. Explain how your approach will improve the situation or advance the state of knowledge on the issue.
4. The introductory chapter requires five types of information:

Organization’s history.

The goal of which is to persuade the organization to hire you to implement your innovative structures and strategies.

PowerPoint 8-slides with speaker notes: Organization- Bank of America

6.Steps you need to take and maintain in order to keep the innovation momentum within the organization.

PRESCRIBING FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

Off-label prescribing is when a physician gives you a drug that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved to treat a condition different than your condition. This practice is legal and common. In fact, one in five prescriptions written today are for off-label use.
—Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality

Psychotropic drugs are commonly used for children and adolescents to treat mental health disorders, yet many of these drugs are not FDA approved for use in these populations. Thus, their use is considered “off-label,” and it is often up to the best judgment of the prescribing clinician. As a PMHNP, you will need to apply the best available information and research on pharmacological treatments for children in order to safely and effectively treat child and adolescent patients. Sometimes this will come in the form of formal studies and approvals for drugs in children. Other times you may need to extrapolate from research or treatment guidelines on drugs in adults. Each individual patient case will need to be considered independently and each treatment considered from a risk assessment standpoint. What psychotherapeutic approach might be indicated as an initial treatment? What are the potential side effects of a particular drug?
For this Assignment, you consider these questions and others as you explore FDA-approved (“on label”) pharmacological treatments, non-FDA-approved (“off-label”) pharmacological treatments, and nonpharmacological treatments for disorders in children and adolescents.

The U.S. Constitution affords citizens various rights and freedoms.

The U.S. Constitution affords citizens various rights and freedoms. These include freedom of religion, freedom from unreasonable search and seizures, and the right to equal justice. As upholders of the Constitution, police officers swear an oath to uphold people’s Constitutional rights as they perform their duties to prevent, reduce, and address criminal activities.

Of the 27 amendments to the U.S. Constitution, four amendments in particular pertain to the criminal justice process:

The Fourth Amendment prevents unreasonable searches and seizures.
The Fifth Amendment affords people various rights in criminal and civil proceedings. Examples include the right to a grand jury and due process. It also allows people to protect themselves from self-incrimination, and it prohibits double jeopardy
The Sixth Amendment guarantees various rights to criminal defendants, such as the right to a speedy trial, a lawyer, and an impartial jury. It also guarantees defendants the right to know who their accusers are and the nature of the charges and evidence against them.
The Eighth Amendment prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines, or cruel and unusual punishments.
In this assignment, you will be asked to:

Explain the meaning and importance of these four amendments.
Illustrate with an example how the amendment applies to a player and a step in the criminal justice process.
Illustrate with an example, from case law or contemporary articles, of how the amendment applies to the particular player and step in the criminal justice process.
