Ethical Dilemma Brief Introduction Health care

Ethical Dilemma Brief Introduction Health care administrators are confronted with ethical dilemmas and difficult decision making during their work. As we have already discovered, there are important interactions between ethical behaviors and legal issues. Health care administrators need to understand the relationships as well as the distinct differences. Health care institutions have ethics committees that play a central role in the protection of patients’ rights, the organization as a whole, and its staff. Instructions Imagine you work as a professional health care administrator in a large medical center. You have been asked to present a paper at a professional conference on medical ethics and caregiver-patient encounters. You must write a paper about a significant physician-patient ethical dilemma in a medical setting, defending the decision and conclusions made. Below is a resource with multiple ethical case studies that involved patients, their families, and members of the interdisciplinary team. Choose one of the scenarios on this site, or select a case of your own choosing from another resource. Medical Ethics and Physician-Patient Encounters: Case Studies and Be‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍st Practices. Your paper should be 3–5 pages and should include a title page and references, for a total of 5–7 pages. Strayer Writing Standards This course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards. For assistance and information, please refer to the Strayer Writing Standards link in the left-hand menu of your course. Grading Criteria The grading criteria for this executive summary is as follows. It must include the elements listed below, so be sure to address each point. You may also want to review the performance-level descriptions for each criterion in the Course Guide to see how your work will be assessed: Prepare a brief from the perspective of a lead administrator dealing with an ethical dilemma. Apply ethical and moral theories to a case study involving a patient and caregivers. Outline the ethical concerns and potential outcomes in a selected ethical dilemma. Propose a solution to mitigate the issues raised in a selected ethical dilemma. Defend the solution from an ethical standpoint. Use at least three peer-reviewed articles less than five years old. Provide appropriate in-text citations and reference section. Meet clarity, writing mechanics, and formatting requir‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍ements.

Humanities Through the Arts

Although social justice art is not a topic exclusive to the 20th and 21st centuries, the distribution of information regarding controversial art with gender, race, sexual, and/or environmental themes has increased with the proliferation of media. Choose an example of a social justice work of art from the 20th or 21st centuries from any discipline of the humanities (music, literature, sculpture, film, television, etc.). Then, address the following:
• Identify the work and the medium.
• Based on your example, to what extent does this work of art make a social contribution?
• What aesthetic value does the work have? How does it reflect the human condition? How does it relate to your life?
• Has this work ever been censored? If so, explain the circumstances.
• Are governments ever justified in censoring art? Why or why not?
• Examine some of the influences of this work of art. What was the public reaction to this work? Does it effectively portray its message?
• Argue whether or not this work should be considered art. Explain why using terms learned in this course.
• Include an accompanying statement from the artist(s) and a statement from a critic to support your points.

Lordship Salvation

W‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍rite a 10 page research paper on “Lordship Salvation.” Here are some key questions to consider when writing your paper. Use these questions to help formulate your paper. You do not have to cover all of these points in your paper, but it would be beneficial to include information from these points to help develop your presentation. What is Lordship Salvation? What is the history of Lordship Salvation? When and where did it arise? Who are the main proponents of Lordship Salvation? Opponents? Who are the main proponents of Free Grace/Easy Believism? Opponents? Identify and explain which Biblical passages would support Lordship Salvation or Free Grace/Easy Believism? Are there problems Biblically with Lordship Salvation? Are there problems Biblically with Free Grace/Easy Believism? Where do you stand in this debate? Here are some suggested resources for your paper. For a thorough discussion of the controversy over “Lordship salvation,” as well as a thorough refutation of so-called “free grace” theology, see John MacArthur, The Gospel according to Jesus, and MacArthur, The Gospel according to the Apostles: The Role of Works in the Life of Faith (1993; repr., Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 2000). Especially helpful is the second chapter of the latter volume, “A Primer on the ‘Lordship Salvation’ Controversy‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍,” 5–20. For further analysis, see Robert Lescelius, Lordship Salvation: Some Crucial Questions and Answers (Asheville, NC: Revival Literature, 1992); Richard P. Belcher, A Layman’s Guide to the Lordship Controversy (Southbridge, MA: Crowne, 1990); Wayne Grudem, “Free Grace” Theology: 5 Ways It Diminishes the Gospel (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Publishers, 2016; and/or Vern Poythress, The Lordship of Christ (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Publishers, 2016). A very brief, though helpful, overview is also found in Grudem, Systematic Theology, 715 (footnote 5). Formatting of the paper: The paper is to be 10-12 pages of content plus a title page and bibliography. Be sure to include 10 academic resources The Bible is not to be used as one of the 10 resources and should not be listed in the bibliography. If using the Bible in your paper, see instructions below. Bible Passages: The first time you quote a Bible passage, you must include the following as the footnote for the Bible you are using. Here is an example of the ESV Bible: Unless otherwise noted, all biblical passages referenced employ the English Standard Version (ESV). Insert the version you are using plus the abbreviation in parenthesis–(ESV), etc.). Thereafter, no other footnotes are needed for Bible passages. Instead, you must put the Bible passage in parenthesis at the‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍ end of the sentence.

Theme park in the southeastern United States

You are the regional marketing director of a theme park in the southeastern United States that is part of a global brand. The chief marketing officer (CMO) of
global operations has called upon you to help coordinate the marketing tasks related to rolling out an emergency response due to a recent safety and injury
incident at one of the parks resulting in serious injuries to employees and customers. The parks were closed immediately following the incident to ensure
safety measures for customers and employees and to deploy the needed safety measures.
Now, as the theme park is all set to reopen, the CMO has called you to take a lead in planning the marketing strategy for the same. Your responsibility is to
design a phased strategy for marketing and the reopening of all parks. Your strategy should address critical objectives such as maximum safety, crisis
communication, customer satisfaction, and profit potential. You must coordinate marketing strategy with corporate strategy, as failure or success of the
marketing strategy can have a direct impact on the brand.
As a first step, you will perform an analysis to understand the implications of reopening on brand equity. In this analysis, you will identify the groups of
stakeholders that are affected by the reopening and also plan the communication strategy for before and after the parks’ reopening. Also, you will identify the
roles and responsibilities of key functional departments that are going to play an important role in the reopening process. This analysis will help you develop
a strategic marketing plan to address the reopening of the park and also to develop an effective crisis communication plan.
In this milestone, you will create a PowerPoint presentation that will include brand analysis and the implications of reopening on the brand equity and
functional departments, including their roles and responsibilities in the reopening process.
Prompt
Brand Analysis and Implications—In this part of the project, you will present the brand implications of reopening the park in the course scenario. Your
presentation should include the following critical factors:
Determine the essential factors that can impact brand equity when reopening the park (Slides 1–3)
Define brand equity and explain its importance to the organization (Slide 1).
Provide positive implications (Slide 2):
Safety concerns addressed and communicated
Community and local government support for reopening
Employee support for reopening
Provide negative implications (Slide 3):
Social media negative reactions
Employee negative concerns
Operational concerns for safety
Describe the strategic communication plan that should occur before and after the park reopens. Your responses should address the following (Slides 4–8):
Identify three key stakeholder groups from this list and describe each stakeholder’s interest in the organization:
Employees
Customers
Government agencies
Communities
Vendors
Describe their communication needs.
Identify the best mode for communicating with them based on their needs, including how you will take feedback from stakeholders.
Describe what impact reopening the park could have on each identified stakeholder (low, medium, or high). Why?
Functional Departmental Roles and Responsibilities—In this part of the project, you will identify the functional department and describe their roles and
responsibilities in making the reopening of the park a success. Your presentation should include the following critical factors (Slides 9–12):
Identify three functional departments, including marketing, which play a significant role in the reopening process. Consider which departments will be most
engaged in the reopening process. Describe the roles and responsibilities of these functional departments in the safe and successful process of reopening
the park (Slides 9-10)
Select at least three legal and ethical considerations outlined in the memo from legal team. Explain why each of these considerations is important to factor
in when reopening the park (Slides 11-12

Success of short-term volunteer aid trips.

Stakeholder support is critical for the success of short-term volunteer aid trips. Working responsibly and effectively with host staff is particularly important, but there are other potential stakeholders to consider. These stakeholders might be from other not-for-profits, NGOs, philanthropists, academic institutions, government agencies, lobbyists, or other interested groups. Investigating potential stakeholder support is a critical step in developing humanitarian aid interventions. It allows you to answer the questions: Who will implement the intervention strategies? How will you leverage and strengthen existing community resources? Who will ensure accountability and measure success?
Prompt
In your reading, you reviewed an example stakeholder identification table for a sexually transmitted diseases program evaluation. For this assignment, you will craft a short paper to identify similar lists of potential stakeholders that could support your humanitarian aid trip. Your stakeholder lists can overlap, but you should have at least eight stakeholders or stakeholder groups identified in total.
You should cite at least three sources from your own investigation, which may include scholarly and non-scholarly sources. The evidence should not be older than five years. To access the Shapiro Library Guide: Nursing—Graduate, go to the Start Here section of the course.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
1. Implementers: Identify a list of at least two to four stakeholders or stakeholder groups that could serve as potential implementers for your humanitarian aid trip. For each person or group, provide a brief description and indicate why you believe they are appropriate for this task based on their mission and capabilities.
2. Decision Makers: Identify a list of at least two to four stakeholders or stakeholder groups that could serve as potential decision makers for your humanitarian aid trip. For each person or group, provide a brief description and indicate why you believe they are appropriate for this task based on their mission and capabilities.
3. Participants: Identify a list of at least two to four stakeholders or stakeholder groups that could serve as potential participants for your humanitarian aid trip. For each person or group, provide a brief description and indicate why you believe they are appropriate for this task based on their mission and capabilities.
4. Partners: Identify a list of at least two to four stakeholders or stakeholder groups that could serve as potential partners for your humanitarian aid trip. For each person or group, provide a brief description and indicate why you believe they are appropriate for this task based on their mission and capabilities.

Management responsibilities

While our discussions of ethics in business can sometimes seem esoteric and removed from our day-to-day management responsibilities, the various media are filled with real-life examples of unethical business behavior that harms the businesses involved, as well as their shareholders, customers, employees, and other stakeholders.

For this discussion, identify a news story that has been published within the 30 days preceding the due date of this discussion that describes such a breach of business ethics. You may find these through a web search, library research, professional journals, professional association websites, newspapers, etc.

In your initial post:

1. Briefly explain the situation and the parties involved.
2. Identify your ethical standard and the ethical issue(s) that violates that standard.
3.. Explain how you would have prevented this situation and would now respond, including support from a second source.
