Main Border Firewall

There are several different firewall architectures available:
Main Border Firewall
Screened Firewall
Internal Firewall
Host Firewall
DMZ Firewall

In this discussion, you are to describe each of these and describe when they could/would be used. Additionally, how can these be layered and used together to provide better security? What could be a disadvantage to using any of these firewalls?

Regardless of the industry you’re participating in, a company with a new innovation needs to understand who might be interested in it. The Diffusion of Innovations (DOI) theory (Rogers, E. 1983) helps to identify and reach the appropriate parties for your product and/or service. It is essential for a company with a new innovation to identify the “Innovators” and “Early Adopters” in their respective market segment(s). Take note, a good qualitative study can be the basis for quantitative research and procedures that can potentially predict buyer behavior.
Select one of your direct competitors and answer the following:
1. Who are their customers in terms of segmentation characteristics; i.e. demographics, behavior, psychometric variables.
2. Distinguish what products their customers are buying and explain why.

Q4
You’ve been asked to create a new social media networking site. What would you name the site and what would you suggest to make it better than existing sites?

In the news we are constantly hearing about security breaches, invasion of personal privacy, and the increasing prevalence of our digital footprint. The increased availability of digital information presents concerns and challenges of privacy, accuracy, intellectual property rights, security, and censorship. As a global citizen, you need to be aware of these issues and how they impact your life (CO6).

Your instructor will set-up two (2) conversation groups this week in which you will select one topic to discuss which interests you.
• Conversation Group: Privacy
o Privacy, as it relates to social media, video surveillance, drones, digital footprint or other topics as they relate to digital privacy.
o How does the electronic environment impact one’s right to privacy?
• Conversation Group: Security
o Security, as it relates to social media, video surveillance, drones, digital footprint or other topics as they relate to digital privacy.
o How does the electronic environment impact one’s personal security?

Regardless of political affiliation

Regardless of political affiliation, individuals often grow concerned when considering perceived competing interests of government and their impact on topics of interest to them. The realm of healthcare is no different. Some people feel that local, state, and federal policies and legislation can be either helped or hindered by interests other than the benefit to society.

Consider for example that the number one job of a legislator is to be reelected. Cost can be measured in votes as well as dollars. Thus, it is important to consider the legislator’s perspective on either promoting or not promoting a certain initiative in the political landscape.

To Prepare:

· Review the Resources and reflect on efforts to repeal/replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

· Consider who benefits the most when policy is developed and in the context of policy implementation.

Post an explanation for how you think the cost-benefit analysis in terms of legislators being reelected affected efforts to repeal/replace the ACA. Then, explain how analyses of the voters views may affect decisions by legislative leaders in recommending or positioning national policies (e.g., Congress’ decisions impacting Medicare or Medicaid). Remember, the number one job of a legislator is to be re-elected. Please check your discussion grading rubric to ensure your responses meet the criteria.

The employees at your organization have formed a union

The employees at your organization have formed a union, and the bargaining process now begins. Write a case study in which you analyze the situation. First, begin with background information about the negotiation, and make certain to address the areas below.

Identify the state where the organization is located. Is the state a right-to-work state? If yes, explain what this means. If no, explain what this means. Why are the employees deciding to unionize? What are the mandatory bargaining subjects? Other than wages and hours, what are five other terms and conditions of employment? What are permissive bargaining subjects that will be negotiated? List at least five.
Second, you need to select members of your bargaining team. You will select four supervisors who were identified in the Unit VI Lesson. Discuss why you selected each supervisor, and compare/contrast their conflict management styles. Each supervisor must have a different conflict style. Explain how each supervisor can contribute to conflict resolution strategies used during negotiation.
Third, explain the two collective bargaining strategies, and identify which one you will recommend your team to use. Explain and support your rationale.
Finally, what will you propose happens if a labor management agreement is not reached by your team and the employee representatives?
Your case study must be a minimum of three pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. Your case study should present an insightful and thorough analysis with strong arguments and evidence. You must use three academically reliable sources to support your analysis.Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, and make certain to include in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.

The criminal justice system has actually been referred to as the criminal justice “non-system”

The criminal justice system has actually been referred to as the criminal justice “non-system” by many observers of modern criminal justice in America. What do we mean when referring to the criminal justice system as a “non-system?” Do you believe that the criminal justice system is a true system, or is it better characterized as many staggering parts working across multiple layers of government at the local, state, and federal level?
