The Nervous System

The Nervous System
Remember from your readings that the whole nervous system is divided into the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The PNS is further divided into sensory and motor divisions. The motor division is further divided into the somatic, enteric, and autonomic systems. Finally, the autonomic nervous system (ANS) is divided into the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions.
Using the text, discuss the divisions of the autonomic nervous system; compare and contrast the general functions of each division, their anatomy, etc. Give examples of what would activate the sympathetic division and the parasympathetic division, and how each division affects various organs and systems. Your response should be at least 1 page in length. Remember that the more information you provide, the more points you will score.
