Moral controversy, debate, disagreement, and dispute

First, select a topic of moral controversy, debate, disagreement, and dispute, Examples of such topics are euthanasia, the death penalty, abortion, cloning, etc. You can pick any such topic. It need not be listed here.

Next, detail the positions of each side of the ethical debate. Note at least two moral reasons each side presents to show their view on the topic is correct.

Now, we want to evaluate these positions using the moral theories we studied this week:

What would an Ethical Egoist say about this topic? What side would the Ethical Egoist take? What would the Ethical Egoist say to justify their moral position? Is there a conflict between loyalty to self and to community relevant to your topic? If so, how so? Note what you feel is the best course of action.
What would a Social Contract Ethicist say about this topic? What side would the Social Contract Ethicist take? What would the Social Contract Ethicist say to justify their moral position? Does your topic involve a collision between personal obligations and national ones? If so, how so? Note what you feel is the best course of action.
Finally, reference and discuss any professional code of ethics relevant to your topic such as the AMA code for doctors, the ANA code for nurses, or any other pertinent professional code. State whether and how your chosen topic involves any conflicts between professional and familial duties.

Various approaches to the mind-body problem

A deeper understanding of the chosen topic.

Identify historical beginnings of philosophy and contemporary positions concerning the nature of knowledge and reality
Distinguish the basic concepts of moral and political philosophy
Evaluate arguments for and against the existence of God
Evaluate various approaches to the mind-body problem

While some assignments can be a bit more creative and involve media, improving your writing skills, and learning to support an argument effectively are also vital skills. Toward that end, the goal here is to write a clear, concise argument (2 – 3 full double spaced pages) exploring the option below. This assignment must be submitted in Word.

Use one or more theories from epistemology and/or metaphysics to discuss how you know you are or are not a simulation, matrix, or hologram. What confirms to you are alive, unique and vita?
Pick one (simulation, matrix, or hologram) and briefly describe the theory. Include in your discussion what indicates to you, this mode of being is accurate or inaccurate, and at the same time name one or more supporters of the theory.
Define and describe the theories you will use (skepticism, empiricism, dualism, constructivism, etc) to address the claims.
Use the theory to refute the claims or explain how we can never be sure.
Your papr will be written at a college level with an introduction (one that indicates what would be covered and in what order, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Your ideas should then unfold in well-supported body paragraphs, using intext citations to support your work and to show why you say what you do. Conclude your papr inviting your reader to “take action” or “to agree” with you, based on your argument.

Conducting A Job Analysis

Create a 3-4 page analysis of the of the job analysis process, considering how to prepare for a job analysis, the methods used to conduct the analysis, and how an organization can effectively use the results from the analysis.
Introduction
If pay is to be based on work performed, some way is needed to discover and describe the differences and similarities among these jobs—observation alone is not enough. Job analysis is that systematic method. Two products result from a job analysis—job description and job specification. A job description is the list of tasks, duties, and responsibilities that make up a job. These are observable actions. A job specification is the list of knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics that are necessary for an individual to have to perform the job. Thus, the description focuses on the job and the specification focuses on the person.
Job analysis is the process of studying a job to determine which activities and responsibilities it includes, its relative importance as compared to other jobs, the qualifications required to perform the job, and the conditions under which the work is performed. An important point about the job analysis is that the job, not the person doing the job, is assessed.
Instructions
In this assessment, create a plan to conduct a job analysis. Note: Use the same company you chose in Assessment 1.
In a 3–4 page paper:
Analyze the advantages of conducting a job analysis, and describe the challenges employers may face if they do not conduct job analyses.
Provide a general description of a company, and a job within the company that you will use as the subject of your job analysis. You will use this information in future assessments as well.
Evaluate the job analysis methods you will use to conduct the job analysis, and justify your selection of the methods. Also, identify the information you expect to gather from each method.
Describe the steps you will take to prepare for the job analysis, including the resources you will need to obtain, appointments you will need to schedule, et cetera.
Analyze the ways in which an organization can use the results of your job analysis.

Applied Sciences

The needs of the pediatric patient differ depending on age, as do the stages of development and the expected assessment findings for each stage. In a 500-750-word paper, examine the needs of a school-aged child between the ages of 5 and 12 years old and discuss the following:

Describe the different physical characteristics/findings within the school-aged child. Explain how you would modify assessment techniques to match the age and developmental stage of this child.
Choose a child between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. Identify the age of the child and describe the typical developmental stages of children that age.
Applying developmental theory based on Erickson, Piaget, or Kohlberg, explain how you would developmentally assess the child. Include how you would offer explanations during the assessment, strategies you would use to gain cooperation, and potential findings from the assessment.
You are required to cite a minimum of three peer-reviewed sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years, appropriate for the assignment criteria, and relevant to nursing practice.
