Demand forecast

Choose 2 quantitative elements that you would like to research in relation to an organization of your choice. These elements may be related to products, services, target market, consumer preferences, competition, personnel, resources, supply chain, financing, advertising, or other areas of interest. However, at least one of these elements should be related to a product or service that your organization is planning to offer.

Develop forecasts by implementing the following approach:

Collect data, including old demand forecast (subjective data) and the actual demand outcomes.
Establish the forecasting method (from readings). Decide on the balance between subjective and objective data and look for trends and seasonality.
Forecast future demand using a forecasting method.

Validity and Reliability

Every project must ensure the data and conclusions are both valid and reliable. Validity refers to the accuracy of the measurement in a test; reliability refers to the stability or consistency of scores. In other words, a test must measure what it says it does (validity), and it must be consistent in its reports (reliability).

For this week’s initial thread, share an example of a test or experiment and discuss the validity and reliability of that test. Your example can come from your daily life, from reading the textbook or looking for online examples, or even from a hypothetical situation.

Application of Prime Numbers in Cryptography: A Review on RSA Algorithm

Rivest, Shamir and Adleman (RSA) algorithm is one of the most well-known public key cyptosystem algorithms. Although it’s been in use for a long time, a
few fruitful attacks have been designed to break it due to the way its derived.
The algorithm’s security is primarily based on the difficultly of factoring the prod uct of two chosen large numbers. The RSA public key algorithm uses one
key for encryption and another key for decryption and the choice of these keys
should be handled delicately. Many analysts have presented ways to improve the efficiency and resis tance of the RSA algorithm. In this paper, we conceal
the values of the publicly communicated parameters of public key, namely the
encryption key and common modulus, from the public. The implementation of this concept makes use of two separate algorithms and randomly selecting
between them using a random number generator.
The choice is communicated to the receiver so they know the proper algorithm to use. Lastly, we will followa quicker implementation of the modular
exponentiation technique used in RSA encryption and decryption

Unionization has been on a relatively slow, yet steady decline.

Given the change in workforce dynamics, speculate on what segments of the workforce or what types of employees would likely gravitate toward unionization, in the current market. Scale the top three reasons for this.
Discuss what this means to you as an organizational leader and what you would do with this information.

Training session presentation

Design a training session presentation (8-12 slides) for one of the role groups in the organization that will be responsible for implementation.

Training and educating those within an organization who are responsible for implementing and working with changes in organizational policy is a critical step in ensuring that prescribed changes have their intended benefit. A leader in a health care profession must be able to apply effective leadership, management, and educational strategies to ensure that colleagues and subordinates will be prepared to do the work that is asked of them.
As a master’s-level health care practitioner, you may be asked to design training sessions to help ensure the smooth implementation of any number of initiatives in your health care setting. The ability to create an agenda that will ensure your training goals will be met and will fit into the allotted time is a valuable skill for preparing colleagues to be successful in their practice.
Instructions
To help ensure a smooth rollout and implementation of your proposed policy and practice guidelines, design a training session presentation for one of the role groups in the organization that will be responsible for implementation.
• Provide a brief summary of your strategies for working with your chosen role group.
• Explain the impact of the new policy on the group and the importance of the change to improve quality of care.
• Explain how the group is important in implementing your proposed policy and practice guidelines and why you chose this group to pilot your proposal.
• Determine appropriate instructional content and explain to the group the learning activities and materials they should expect during the training session.
• Prepare an annotated agenda for a two-hour training session.
During this training session, you will want to ensure that the individuals you are training understand the new policy and practice guidelines. You will need them to buy into the importance of the policy in improving the quality of care or outcomes and their key role in successful policy implementation. You must help them acquire the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in implementing the policy and practice guidelines.
As outcomes of this training session, participants are expected to:
• Understand the organizational policy and practice guidelines to be implemented.
• Understand the importance of the policy to improving quality or outcomes.
• Understand that, as a group, they are key to successful implementation.
• Possess the necessary knowledge and skills for successful implementation.

o Why will these strategies be effective?
o What measures might provide early indications of success?
• Explain the impact of the new policy and practice guidelines.
o How they will be implemented?
o How will they affect the daily work routines and responsibilities of the role group?
• Justify the importance of the new policy and practice guidelines with regard to improving the quality of care or outcomes related to the role group’s work.
o How will the policy and guidelines help improve the quality of care or outcomes?
• Explain the role group’s importance in implementing the new policy and practice guidelines.
o Why is the work and buy-in of the role group important for successful implementation?
o How could you help the group feel empowered by their involvement during implementation?
• Determine appropriate and effective instructional content, learning activities, and materials for the training session.
o How will each proposed activity on your agenda support learning and skill development?
o Can you complete the training within the allotted two hours?
• Deliver a persuasive, coherent, and effective audiovisual presentation.
o Be sure that the information and arguments you present are aligned with the needs of your audience.
o Review the organization of your slides for clarity.
o Proofread your slides to minimize errors that could distract the audience or make your message more difficult to understand.

• Competency 1: Analyze relevant health care laws, policies, and regulations; their application; and their effects on organizations, interprofessional teams, and professional practice.
o Explain the impact of a new policy and practice guidelines.
• Competency 2: Lead the development and implementation of ethical and culturally sensitive policies that improve health outcomes for individuals, organizations, and populations.
o Justify the importance of a new policy and practice guidelines with regard to improving the quality of care or outcomes related to a selected role group’s work.
• Competency 4: Develop strategies to work collaboratively with policy makers, stakeholders, and colleagues to address environmental (governmental and regulatory) forces.
o Summarize evidence-based strategies for working with a selected role group to promote their buy-in and prepare them to implement a new policy and apply associated practice guidelines to their work.
o Explain a selected role group’s importance in implementing a new policy and practice guidelines.
o Determine appropriate and effective instructional content, learning activities, and materials for a training session.
• Competency 5: Produce clear, coherent, and professional written work, in accordance with writing standards.
o Deliver a persuasive, coherent, and effective audiovisual presentation.

The field of psychology is built upon rigorous research.

The field of psychology is built upon rigorous research. Theories are constantly proposed, tested, supported, and invalidated through research studies that are
communicated to the field via peer-reviewed research papers. As such, individuals in the field of psychology must be both informed consumers and educated
producers of psychological research.
This course is the first in the sequence of two research methods courses. In this first course, you will create a research proposal centered on a testable research
question. In the second course, you will actually conduct research around your research question, guided by your proposal, and using your classmates as your
research participants. Keep in mind when creating your research question and proposal that the topic must be one that is approachable and able to be answered
by your colleagues. Research proposals that ask questions around diagnosable mental health disorders, suicide, or abuse of any kind will not be allowed, as these
topics may be triggering for some students.
The project is divided into four milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final
submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Two, Four, Six, and Eight. The final product will be submitted in Module Ten.
This assessment addresses the following course outcomes:
• Evaluate research designs in published studies for their appropriateness in addressing psychological research questions
• Synthesize peer-reviewed research in psychology for supporting testable research proposals
• Propose data collection strategies for developing methodologically sound research proposals
• Select appropriate data analysis methods for informing valid and reliable research results
• Apply the American Psychological Association’s principles and standards for creating professional, ethically sound research proposals
Prompt
For this assessment, you will create a research proposal centered on a testable research question and hypothesis, substantiated with peer-reviewed research. In
the following course, Research Methods II, you will actually conduct research around your research question, guided by your proposal. You are required to use
your Southern New Hampshire University classmates as your research participants, so keep in mind when creating your research question and proposal that the
topic must be one that is approachable and able to be answered by your colleagues. You are prohibited from using anyone outside of Southern New Hampshire
University for your study.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Problem Statement: Describe the general topic you will address and its importance and relevance to real-world issues.
II. Literature Review: In this section, you will use existing research on your subject and draw conclusions for informing your research proposal.
a) Summarize existing, applicable research in the field around your topic, utilizing peer-reviewed sources.
b) Identify the different research designs that have been used to generate knowledge on this topic, and describe how they differ.
c) Differentiate between the research designs for their advantages and disadvantages in addressing the research questions, providing specific
examples from the research.
d) Evaluate the appropriateness of the research designs to the research questions, providing justification for your assertions. Which design seems
most appropriate in addressing the question and why?
e) Summarize what is unknown or uncertain about your topic, synthesizing the applicable existing research on the topic.
f) Discuss the appropriateness of the data analysis procedures used in the literature as they relate to the American Psychological Association’s
principles and standards. Consider the assumptions made and presentation of data.
III. Research Question and Hypothesis
a) Based on your research about the topic, create a testable research question.
b) Create a testable hypothesis based on your research question and research about the topic, explaining the extent to which the research
supports your hypothesis.
c) Describe the variables that will be measured and/or manipulated in your study, and explain the selection of variables. Specifically, what
independent and dependent variables will be used to test your hypothesis?

Decision theory

What is meant by decision theory and how can you use it in your daily life now? (Additional research may be required outside of your textbook.)

There is no minimum or maximum number of words or length to your response. The goal is to demonstrate that you have an understanding how decision theory can be used in life, not just business.
