For this activity, read the scenario and then use the provided Week 6 Time Value of Money Excel Template [XLSX] and Week 6 Time Value of Money Template [DOC] templates to complete your activity before uploading them to the submission area.

Note: There are locked cells in the Excel template. The cells have been locked to prevent the formulas from being disturbed. The cells that you will need to use to complete this assignment are not locked. You may create your own templates, however, it is recommended that you use the templates provided.

Scenario
Larry and Beth are both married, working adults. They both plan for retirement and consider the $6,000 annual contribution a must.First, consider Beth’s savings. She began working at age 20 and began making an annual contribution to her IRA of $6,000 each year until age 32 (12 contributions). She then left full-time work to have children and be a stay-at-home mom. She left her IRA invested and plans to begin drawing from her IRA when she is 65.Larry started contributing to his IRA at age 32. In the first 12 years of his working career, he used his discretionary income to buy a home, upgrade the family cars, take vacations, and pursue his golfing hobby. At age 32, he made his first $6,000 contribution to an IRA and contributed $6,000 every year up until age 65 (33 contributions). He plans to retire at age 65 and make withdrawals from his IRA.Both IRA accounts grow at an 8 percent annual rate. Do not consider taxes or inflation.

Create a chart summarizing the details of the investment for both Larry and Beth.
Write a one-paragraph summary in which you explain the results in terms of the time value of money for both Larry and Beth. (Hint: discuss why one person was able to save a great deal more than the other.)

This weeks reading discusses one of the most pressing challenges in global politics today: Migration. The extent of forced migration is growing exponentially . After viewing the lecture by Professor Godwin-Gill and reading the chapter in the e-book, what in your opinion is the biggest challenge when it comes to this crisis? Focus on the problems with the existing legal positions on the issue on both the international level and the U.S internal policies and laws.

Hashing algorithms have been around a long time. For example, MD5 has been used for authentication of numerous websites. In recent years however, between the increase in CPU performance and weak keys, MD5 no longer provides adequate protection. Research newer Hashing algorithms that can replace MD5. Select 3 and do a pro-con comparison of them. Which would you recommend? Why? How would you deploy this new algorithm in your organization’s website?

HTTPS is increasing in popularity and is rapidly replacing HTTP as a security protocol for web traffic. What are the advantages of HTTPS? How would you deploy it on your organization’s website? Are there any disadvantages? Would HTTPS protect you when using a public WiFi connection? Why or why not?

 

Research Methodology

Every researcher is faced with a host of uncertainties as they embark upon any respective research endeavor. Decisions have to be made, methodologies finalized, data analyzed, and inferences made. As you begin adding the final touches to your Final Project, take a moment to reflect on the course you took and the decisions you made as you finalize the form your proposal will take.

Which research methodology did you select?
What about your research study led you to select this methodology?
Your initial post should be at least 400 words in length.

Guided Response: Review your colleagues’ posts, and substantively respond to at least three of your peers by Day 7. Each of your responses should be at least 200 words in length. Comment whether or not you agree with your classmates’ selections of research methodologies. After being on the job for a week reviewing Wellness Technology’s contingency plans, you have identified that the company doesn’t have a comprehensive incident response plan (IRP). You have discussed this with your boss, the IT manager, and have decided that this is something that must be created.

In this project, you will create an IRP for Wellness Technology, Inc. The format design of the IRP document can be your own creative work product and/or an industry standard one from the web. Chapter 4: Make sure you watch the video “Zimbaro’s Stanford Prison Experiment” embedded in the powerpoint presentation. For your discussion for this chapter, answer the following questions: 1). Did the behavior of the participants (the guards AND the prisoners, BOTH of whom were actually naïve college students) surprise you? 2).
