Chapter 5: Discussion and Conclusion
In this section you explain your results and whether or not you answered your research question. Discuss your findings in relation to your original questions and those findings of others, integrated with the existing literature. It should include an evaluation of your results and their relevance to the works of others, implications and recommendations for further study. Address the practical and theoretical implications of your findings, being careful not to over generalize.
Conclusions should be limited to what is directly supported by the findings and what is reasonable, given other research. These may include suggestions for further research and/or recommendations for people and/or programs.
Requirements for final chapter:
• Make new knowledge claims of our own
• State the study’s major findings
• Explain the meaning and importance of the findings
• Relate the findings to the literature (Circle back) to where and when
• Consider alternate explanations of the findings
• State the clinical, teaching, cultural and practical relevance of the findings
• Acknowledge the study’s limitations
• Make suggestions for further research
It needs to relate to UAE a lot and then the final conclusion.
