Fuel For the Ages

Watch the video Fuel for the Ages. The link will take you to the page on this time period, but you’ll have to scroll down just a little to see the video titled “Fuel for the Ages.” This video is a part of the Big
History Project, which covers the history of the universe from the Big Bang to the present. Don’t worry–your essay will cover a lot less time! At one point in the video, one of the narrators states, “It was a global
revolution.” This will be the starting point for your essay on this module, which covers “the long nineteenth century.” Your essay will answer the following question: Based on what you have leamed in Module 2,
to what extent was the industrial revolution truly a global revolution in both its causes and effects? To answer this question, you will rely mostly on specific information from the textbook, but you must also
discuss the video “Fuel for the Ages.” Remember that the module essay is your chance to prove how much you know, so be sure to include plenty of relevant information from throughout the time period covered
in Module 2.
