We’ve discussed what service-learning is, you’ve chosen your Social Issues Campaign, and you’ve begun working with your team and planning your campaign. Experience alone is not the key to learning. Learning from experience involves reflection of your thoughts and feelings, and promotes self-awareness. Reflection is the act of processing an experience to gain further insight, which can help better inform future action. Your Pre-Reflection is a critical component of your service-learning experience.
Instructions
For this assignment, you will reflect on your expectations in terms of your involvement with your Social Issues Campaign this semester. Please think critically about these answers, be honest, and be as detailed as possible.
You will respond to 7 open-ended questions. Each question contains 1 or more prompts to help you think through your answers. You will have an unlimited amount of time to complete the assignment, but you may only submit once.
Important: Many questions have multiple prompts – be sure that you’re addressing each prompt fully and with detailed, thoughtful responses. Unless otherwise noted, each question should be a minimum of 150 words.
NOTE: Pre-Reflections will be run through the TurnItIn Plagiarism detector (and may be run through other detection programs) for AI. You may not submit any work generated by an AI program as your own. If you include material generated by an AI program, you must use in-text citations like any other reference material (with due consideration for the quality of the reference, which may be poor), otherwise it will be considered plagiarism and dealt with according to UNT policy. To receive credit, most of the writing must be your own.
**If you copy and paste from a site like Chat GPT or GrammarlyGO, AI detectors will catch it. If you use these sites to “reword” things to make them sound better, AI detectors will catch it.**
Please number your responses (1a, 2a, 2b) and upload a file (.doc, .docx., .pdf) for submission.
