Evaluation Plan for Second Clinical Proficiency Exam Attempt

Time to Take the Test

The Clinical Proficiency Exam (CPE) in unit one took me about 3 hours to complete. I felt that I had enough time to answer all of the questions, but I did feel rushed at times. The questions were a mix of multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, and short answer.

What I Learned from the Experience of Taking the Assessment

I learned a lot from the experience of taking the CPE. I learned that I need to work on my time management skills, as I often found myself running out of time towards the end of the exam. I also learned that I need to focus on my weakest areas, which were the domains of anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology.

Evaluation of Lowest Areas

My lowest areas on the CPE were anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. I scored below 70% in both of these domains. I think I scored as low as I did because I did not spend enough time studying these topics. I also think that I did not understand the concepts as well as I should have.

To raise my scores in these areas, I plan to do the following:

• Review the course materials for anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology.
• Complete the practice questions for these topics.
• Talk to my instructor about my understanding of these topics.

Evaluation of Highest Areas

My highest areas on the CPE were the domains of pharmacology and nutrition. I scored above 70% in both of th   ese domains. I think I scored as high as I did because I spent a lot of time studying these topics. I also think that I have a strong understanding of the concepts in these domains.

To maintain my scores in these areas, I plan to do the following:

• Continue to review the course materials for pharmacology and nutrition.
• Complete the practice questions for these topics.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest research in these areas.

Plan of Study

I plan to use the course materials and the practice questions to study for the second attempt of the CPE. I will also talk to my instructor about my progress and get their feedback. I plan to incorporate the 300 questions per unit into my schedule by studying for 30 minutes each day. I will also set aside one day each week to review the material that I have learned.

I am confident that I can pass the second attempt of the CPE if I follow this plan of study. I am committed to working hard and I am confident that I will be successful.
