Your job is to articulate and explore one intelligent idea about one aspect of Song of Solomon. Use strong and thorough evidence (1-2 pieces of aligned evidence) from the text to support your analysis, conducting a close reading of two or three of the most relevant passages. First, you will introduce each passage, briefly explaining its context, then you will quote the passage. Finally, you will interpret the text and clearly reconnect your ideas to the topic sentence – do not simply summarize. Be sure that the passages you include address and support your main idea.
