Research about a significant person who was or is an advocate against racial, ethnic, LGBTQ

Conduct research about a significant person who was or is an advocate against racial, ethnic, LGBTQ+, or gender inequality. Choose a person who has had an impact on promoting equality whether through philanthropy, civil rights, teaching, or lifestyle.

You will then base your case study on this person and their advocacy for social change. You must address the following:

Introduce the person. Discuss what led them to become an advocate. Specifically, how did society shape their path?
What change were/are they looking to achieve and why? What was/is the primary message of their advocacy?
Discuss which of the sociological views (i.e., conflict, interactionism, or functionalism) help to explain the type of inequality addressed by this advocate.
Did/does their advocacy invoke a change and or influence others? Discuss why, or why not. Remember that the view or perception of social change can be viewed as positive, negative, or a combination of both.
Give an example of how this person’s advocacy has touched your own life, whether through an experience, changing of perspective, or exposure to their work though educational or social means.
What lessons do you believe we can take away from this person and apply in today’s society for the betterment of the future?

Basic dimensions styles of the MBTI.

Complete the assessment that will be sent you at the beginning of the semester to determine your style. Use the material on the Moodle page to write this paper. Don’t forget to document. See the rubric for specifics on grading.

1) Describe the four basic dimensions styles of the MBTI.

2) Discuss your specific personality type, including all four dimensions, i.e. ENFP. Give SPECIFIC examples of how this assessment does or does not apply to you and your management style. This analysis needs to include how this style affects your communication on the job.

3) Identify a current co-worker’s MBTI style giving several examples of how he communicates and how he behave. Look at the material on the specific styles and be sure you to document that material.

4) How might you have a conflict with this co-worker? What can you do to resolve that conflict positively and what could you do that would resolve the conflict ineffectively?

Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, watch the Week 2 Discussion video with Brenda Forde, CPA, MBA. Next, create a free LinkedIn account using the resource, LinkedIn Alumni Tool for University of Arizona Global Campus.Links to an external site.

LinkedIn is considered a powerful job search tool in today’s world, known primarily for online networking and job searching. However, LinkedIn can also be used to research organizations, industries, and career paths. With LinkedIn, you can access millions of other working professionals and explore things such as current job titles, past job titles, certifications, and so forth. You can see exactly what others are doing with their MBAs in the areas of financial management, strategy, ethics, or other related fields, and then figure out how they got there based on their career history.

Before beginning this discussion forum, use the LinkedIn Alumni Tool for University of Arizona Global Campus Links to an external site.resource and create a free LinkedIn account, if you do not have one already. Then, utilize the search bar to find fellow alumni that have completed their MBA. To do this, simply type “MBA” in the search bar. Once the results appear, take your time clicking on profiles that interest you. You should also search outside of UAGC to gain a broader perspective. To do this, you can utilize the main search bar and once again type in “MBA.” Make sure to click on “people” to begin searching through the directory.

Initial Response:

In your initial post, discuss five MBA graduates with interesting career titles and explain their current role based on their LinkedIn profile details. You do not need to give the names of the five people. Address the following in your post:

Critique their titles and how they are using their degree.
From these five roles, which one sounds the most interesting to you and why?
Are any of these roles in line with how you plan to use your MBA after graduation?
Would you consider pursuing any of these five roles?
If you have not already created a LinkedIn profile, please do so now or update your profile based on your research.
